I was there attending a birthday party last week. There were signs of some building work going on the premises. But, there was a lack of general maintenance of cleanliness on the whole, and some parts of the premises were dirty. Ladies' toilets were disgusting according to ladies who used it. The mens toilets were more or less disgusting. There were broken toilet seats and water on the floor . There was no sign of general daily cleaning or any deep cleaning. I was absolutely disgusted with the level of cleanliness and the attitude of the staff member who initially didn't want to clear the black bin bags. The kitchen sink was blocked with rubbish so that the water couldn't flow. The staff member said that after the cleaning from the previous event, the rubbish had to stay where it was and a cleaner would come at 3pm that day. We were getting set up at the prearranged time of 8am, and even then we were told to come back at 10am. This all added to the stress of being prepared for a funeral reception from 2pm. It was even more annoying that the staff were asked to remove an open black bin that was filled to the top but had no lid. How is that hygien...

I really don’t like to give bad reviews but feel I should try to help other innocent people from being SCAMMED. I recently booked this hall but had to cancel. Even though I cancelled a month ago (and within the time frame allowed) I still haven’t received my refund. I have emailed and called countless times to ask what is going on and to no avail. Absolutely terrible customer service and even worse communication! Would stay as far away from this place as possible!!

Attended a function here recently, I was very disappointed at the lack of care or responsibility from staff. Firstly, on arrival guests were told there was no parking, from what I saw the parking was being used by a large lorry and lots of crates spread over the car park, when we got into the venue after searching for parking space, which is extremely limited, we were then faced with an 'out of order ' lift.

A nice venue and suitable for most types of occasions, however the toilets need to be refurbished. The parking facilities are a bit limited for large functions. The location is hidden, therefore, maybe a little difficult to find for some.

Large pleasant wedding reception and special occasion event centre. If you use your own Caterers make sure they are shown how to light and use the ovens. Some parking is available on site but street parking is accessible nearby.

Very big beautiful hall. They could have air conditioning as it was very stuffy once the crowd filled the hall. The lift was broken, so the function people had trouble getting the catering upstairs.. pls clean the toilets

I liked the floor the best it was so pretty. A lovely place to spend a few hours. It was on the first floor but there was a lift. I think they looked after us. The place was clean. It was a bit hot though that day!

Chak 89 has various halls for every occasion for hire at a reasonable price. you would have to provide your drinks as there don't have a licence for them. It has a few parking spaces which help but are limited.

The food was delicious, they have refurbished and its looking Lush. Love it.
