We decided to book a lunch table here for a change of scene, having eaten at the wonderfully friendly and convenient relais de ratier for lunch over the previous days. What a mistake. We arrived minutes before (the time of our reservation)...and it was a battle to even get the staff to engage with us. All the floor waiters were super busy' presumably on other tables and there was certainly a lot of running around...just no one able to spend seconds with us...eventually we got our table. We were a party of with kids. We waited minutes and not even a drinks order or bread for the children. We tried to get the attention of staff a few times but were basically ignored. Classic case of staff not...
As part of a French family skiing holiday we ate in the restaurant every day last week, during half term, Sunday til Friday. The food was quite good, generous proportions. At times seasoning was lacking. Some of the salads were drowned in balsamic. The service...was good, if you ate early, then they could have done with more staff to beat the rush. As expected it was expensive, possibly too pricey for the quality of the food........but mountain restaurants do charge a lot. Food presentation was good.......many attractive dishes. Sadly the food was generally heated up once ordered, so as to meet the lunchtime demands. Food could have been a bit better, Some of the puddings in particular were...
We had lunch times over the course of our week in Serre Chevalier and it was the best food and restaurant we tried in the area. The terrace is wonderful when the weather is warm enough and the staff very friendly and attentive. Eating...inside is equally as nice and the log fire adds to a brilliant, calm but family friendly atmosphere. We tried the salads (huge and very good quality) as well as the burger and the tartiflette, which we highly recommend. The children menu was not very long but it was freshly cooked, which makes a nice change. Overall recommended for food, service and location.
Had lunch here, a group of people and no reservation made in advance. The staff arranged a table in the blink of an eye and treated us really well. All of us enjoyed the food, no matter which dish we had chosen. Well prepared,...large portions and great taste. The chalet burger is something to try if you like burgers, among the best I’ve had. The staff was super friendly and made us feel very welcome (which will make us come back later this week, hopefully it will be as good as it was the first time). It is not cheap, but definitely worth the money.

There are plenty of places to eat up the mountain in the Serre Chevalier ski area but, having tried most of them over the years, this is probably the best of the big restaurants. It's huge but has a good atmosphere and some very good...food. There are some smaller, smarter, more expensive a la carte restaurants in the area but for a good value self-service lunch you could do far worse than to try here. The beer's pretty good as well!
Fab restaurant at top of Ratier bubble lift in Chantemerle. Perfect place to stop after morning of skiing or to lounge about on deck chairs (not as busy as deck chairs in other bars below). Large sun terrace with tables for lunch. Table service was...excellent. Very busy but staff all professional and cheerful! Good food, massive portions. A starter is more than enough lunch! Relaxed enjoyable lunch stop. Top marks!
We had a lunch with our fiends and people: adults and children. We enjoyed the place however the food was not that good. I had caramel stones in the Thai salad. Was supposed to be crispy but not possible to eat. The...staff was not nice. In a nutshell only come for the spot.
This is a fab restaurant excellent food and service in beautiful surroundings. This time lamb was back on the menu and was delicious and I particularly enjoyed the café gourmand espresso coffee with tastings of the deserts on offer delicious

The food was good, but not great. The drinks and dessert was much better though. The prices are a bit high but the location is so good so it's kind of worth it. A sunny day the terrace is the best place in the slope.
Very friendly staff, nice view and excellent food. Something special to recommend. Ok pricing with much higher quality than most other places in the skiarea.
