I always head for the bois prin when I want steak frites, Not only is it superbly cooked (rare /saignant) but the value for money in a mountain restaurant is excellent. The location is superb and when the sun is shining it is realy nice...to sit outside. Service is top quality and the owner is always friendly. they do a daily special too which has never disappointed with a pichet of wine at a reasonable price. My favorites from the menu are steak-frites, le encas savoyard for a lighter snack really nicely presented and the tarte ecureuil (nuts not squirrel You don't get much better from my experience in the high mountain restaurants at a price that is really fair and affordable. Given the cold wind, we did not wish to eat outside in December but opted nevertheless to wait on the terrasse for minutes for an inside table. We were finally seated upstairs where the waitress ignored us for sometime and then when she was...flagged down, told us that she was too busy to serve us! I asked if she could at least bring our drinks and she refused!! I have been here several times before and have never been treated this way previously. The main dishes are fine (we had a couple of salads, my daughter had the leek tart and my son the spaghetti bolognese) and the pies are yummy, but this waitress should not be dealing with the public! This is the best lunch time restaurant in the resort. A really good steak and chips for under a tenner, how can you go wrong. Yes, it gets very busy at lunch time in the Ski season, surely that can't come a s a surprise,...so if you are in a mad rush go to one of the self service restaurants next door. Service is friendly and as swift as possible, the food is delicious, great omelettes, steak frites , tartiflettes and salads, the squirrell tart is a must try. Wines are good and everything is really reasonable priced. I have eaten lunch here loads of times when skiing and I think it is a great place. If you want to guarantee a table inside or outside at a specific time then make a reservation...

we were here earlier, but our recent visit was responsible for a review. we came as a group and book our table in advance meant that we have a good place outside. our group ordered the duck, the steak, quiche lorraine and suppe. chips all parts where big, hot and came quite fast. we ate at other places in the opposite, but this is by far the best. Condiments are free, which is a bonus. the service is tenting, but stressed in the busy midday phase. we never felt unattended. we would definitely recommend this place to everyone, but we would definitely book a table in advance. visit this restaurant every year for lunch in the ski holiday. salad savoyarde is our favorite main and the gauffres are always a popular place for the desert. always busy and quite small inside, so if bad weather is likely to be best to book, otherwise there is a sun terrace for outdoor dining if the weather is good. centrally located in pleine drasse so easy to find.

we had lunch here, for very hungry people and we are not disappointed. we had discovered it from a ski lift and decided to visit speculators, they had space and put us in without a problem. the service was excellent, with the waiter who. the drinks delivered while we decided to eat what was excellent lunch. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone. fun.

This has to be one of the nicest and most reasonable mountain restaurants we've found. Generous portions, really high quality food and friendly staff. Plus sit outside on a sunny day (before the sun drops behind the mountains) for a stunning view.

We were shouted at and pushed aside before we even had a chance to sit down and when we asked for service and once again were told deux minutes we decided this would not be the place to have lunch. Terrible service

Great food and friendly service, a bit slow but then the place was heaving everyday...can't have everything! Simple to choose what to eat, just pick plat du jour always delicious!
