Having gone here previously and lived it, I have been disappointed on my last few visits. The Toum didn't have enough garlic and too much canola oil. The Taboulli had hardly any lemon and heaps of oil: it tasted do bad that we didn't eat it! That's a pity, because I used to rate this as the best Lenses food in Granville, but I think they must have different staff on some days, in the kitchen. If you're eating in, be mindful that they have a big problem with flies. While the open windows are nice on warm evenings, perhaps investing in some screens or insect zippers would be worthwhile, because having flies land in your meal is not ideal. After we ate in Al Awafi Punchbowl and loved the experience, we visited family nearby, I thought we would try to eat here. At first I was confused by the name (Chalk Cafe- Not Al Awafi Chicken), but the delicious smells confirmed I was in the right place. We ordered the take, and after our visit to Punsch the Taboulih, garlic sauce and vegetables were fantastic. The chicken was good, but certainly would not have been the highlight without the sauces. Our server was friendly, hospitable and generous with help. Every suggestion she made was a winner with the inlaid chillies a big hit. Was it better than Punchbowl... I will continue this argument and continue to produce high-quality, good Leban...
I went here for an early dinner. They have a smoking room, which is actually the main entrance to the cafe. Two things ruined the experience for me. The first was that they left the door open between the smoking and non smoking areas so the sheesha and other smoke was wafting in to the eating area. The second was that they were serving food in to the smoking area, which is against the NSW law. They didn't seem to care when people took their food in to the smoking area and the staff actually were delivering drinks and food out there! The food was fine, but no better than the other 2 similar eateries in the main drag of Granville. You can eat at those places and not worry about second hand smo...
I visit this place regularly, however, as it has new Persian owners, it is exceptional. Had Argileh with a friend, and the flavors did not come through. The owner organized a new apple head without a fee. Efficient and friendly staff. Very impressed by service level today! Good food, as always. Clean and well presented.

Chalk Cafe is now called Skyview Continental Cafe and Restaurant. Missing all the charcoal chickens and curds with delicious garlic sauce during Kovid-19. Great service and generous portion sizes and they also bring back the wooden fire pizzas. Bring the roasted chicken pizzas!!!
The Thai Hutt restaurant fell short in several areas. The food was disappointing in terms of quality. The Satay Chicken dish was essentially just fried chicken with minimal flavor.
Love their wood fire pizzas very tasty as well as their smoothies. I tried the mango smoothie and highly recommend it to anyone who likes mangoes.

This Arab restaurant in Sydney is fantastic. You can enjoy traditional Middle Eastern food and even try a Shisha if you like. Hope you enjoy!
