Chancho Tortilleria

Great Mexican restaurant! Definitely has the flavour of the Mexican carnitas, chips, guac, and some vegetarian options!! I would appreciate that all the staff were able to speak Spanish because of the mass of hispanic customers. Friendly place and prices are okay. It may be a little be expensive for latinos but overall is fair. I tried carnitas and desserts. Carnitas (pork) comes as in pounds with some side dishes, as beans, sauces and greens, also tortillas. A suggestion would be to keep tortillas warm as they’re in the table, because as you’re eating they get cold. But definitely worth it. We had churros with caramel sauce and lemon pie!

Chancho Tortilleria is a nice little Mexican restaurant that is known for home made tortillas from ingredients all over the world. They sell meat by the pound to allow for group settings, which is fantastic. They have a few different options only, but they're all delicious. The mix is probably the best tasting one. The staff is absolutely amazing, so friendly and helpful. It's kid friendly here, including having high chairs. Would highly recommend for lunch if you're in the area.

I loved this restaurant. I really recommend it for those who want to experience authentic Mexican carnitas. This place has a charming vibe, friendly staff and the food is delicious. On the hot sauces opinion, they still need to improve their flavours but overall they are good. The cost is quite reasonable so everyone can enjoy great mexican pork style tacos, chilaquiles and guacamole as well other tasty snacks and refreshing mexican drinks.

Chancho Tortilleria is a good spot for delicious Mexican food. We ordered takeout through the website and the pickup process was pretty smooth, but about 10/15 mins wait even after it said the order was ready as it was a Sunday night. The portion size was decent but we did have leftover tortillas at the end, perhaps we didn’t distribute the filling evenly. Everything was good bit will try dining in next time to get the freshest experience.

Simply amazing tacos! Very flavourful pork, with the right amount of condiments to compliment your tastes for authentic Mexican delectables. Served with your favourite beverage or guacamole n’ chips, it’s hard to pass up. Beans and (organic) shells rotate in selection! Take out picnics in <10mins… yea that’s also do-able. Do yourselves a favour and check this place out!

It felt like I was back in Mexico. This is an authentic Mexican taco experience. The tortillas are made from corn (so gluten-free) and they taste like the homemade ones in Mexico. I was surprised also to see Chilaquiles on their happy hour menu. If you haven't been to Mexico and wonder what authentic Mexican tacos taste like, definitely try the tacos from Chancho.

Ok this is going to be one of my to go places for lunch! We went there for lunch with a couple of colleagues and ordered mixed pork tacos . The staff was friendly and helpful, Tacos were delicious and the sides were great! I only wish the tortillas wouldn’t fall apart that easy… I’ll definitely go back because I felt like I’m back in Mexico

Had a great meal at chanchos. The closest I’ll get to authentic tacos before heading to Mexico. The sauces were delicious and the hot sauce just had the small bit of kick you need. Had the 1/4 mixed and 1/4 belly. Though I liked both, the belly is the way to go if your going all in. Came in their anniversary as well which was a

More than just tacos. I'm not expert on Mexican food but it felt more authentic and that they know what they're doing. Food was yummy: both meat and vegan options. Service was pleasant. There wasn't too much of a vibe and it felt like the place could use some creativity in making it more cosy.

Quick, easy , affordable and most of all delicious! This is my go to place for downtown eats. food is fantastic, you order first and then you grab your seat at at one of the cute red gingham style tables.
