Horrible people behind the scene, company invited me for a 10 hour work trial on friday 22nd January, 6am -4pm, I arrived at 5.35am, just to be early in case the head chef arrives early, so they can show me around etc, so they dont have to do it during their time, possibly putting the business behind, however nobody turned up, I got on the bus at 6.15 am to go back home, as it was freezing cold and the bus stop is in front of the shop, and let's face it nobody wants to be walking around Wimbledon at the crack of dawn, I sent the area manager an email, with a picture of the shop shut, with the time and date on the picture just to show I arrived, I phone head office twice on friday, basically...
To refuse to sell to a customer even know I’m 8 weeks pregnant an hour before closing time I got to shop at 5 clock. That’s an hour before 6 clock shocking... there was a lady in shop buying a quite amount of shopping I was standing out side in rain for good 8-10 minutes or more Quite funny due to me walking to shop I saw the staff make a baguette for a customer with he’s dog and came out to give to the gentlemen it’s seems the staff only make it for there own kind or people that go there quite frequently. This is appalling to treat any customer in any kind of way specially pregnant women....brilliant business your running.I won’t be going here again..
I ordered two large fruit tarts for 16 people, paid for and to be collected. On collection there was no recollection of any order as the staff don't write orders in a book! We were told to return in three hours so that the tarts could be made but on collection a second time, nothing had be recorded. For such a local gem they need to do something about staff management and systems. Not difficult. Lots of very young staff who have no skills. Meanwhile I had no dessert for my 16 guests.
I ordered the chicken and Emmental. The first bite was nice-ish but the chicken's only flavour was salt and a lot of it. The baguette started to become quite sickly and I was desperate for pieces of lettuce, tomato or maybe even a glob of mayo to reveal itself to give my poor palette a rest from the salt. Whilst my blood pressure is through the roof I did enjoy the baguette which was a nice alternative to the supermarkets often under-baked baguettes. Reserva una mesa ahora
Despite the recent negative reviews, this is the best sandwich shop I know in London. The sandwiches are consistently excellent and very reasonably priced. The staff are great (they may seem rude but are always very busy! They are very dilligent and make superb sandwiches. We get our weekly sarnies from this establishment and will continue to do so. It is quite literally the only reason to visit Southfields
I popped in by chance to pick up a couple of sweet treats to go with breakfast and left with a feast! They make the most delicious strawberry tarts, raspberry tarts, apricot tarts, Mille feuille and coffee eclairs and I have been highly recommended to their baguettes for lunch. Lovely helpful guy in there went to collect me a strawberry tart straight from the oven! Will definitely be going back this weekend
After few months away I just made two visit to this shop in used to frequent often Both time the staff was extremely un welcoming, it was clear they would rather not j’habite to serve anyone and made no effort to understand the products I was asking for None of the staff was speaking french, and didn’t know the name of the french product ... really disappointed
