Well I'll start out by saying don't get me wrong by giving three stars for atmosphere. You don't go here for the atmosphere, LOL I am a barbecue aficionado, and my daughter recently moved to this part of the city, so I decided to try it out when I was out there helping her move. I ordered the pit beef and ham combo sandwich. The meat was very tender and flavorful, I was very happy with my choice. The only small complaint I had was I asked them to prepare the sandwich with barbecue sauce and horseradish, but they forgot that. This is an addendum to my review above. I’ll be honest, this place was a little bit disappointing. I’ll give them credit, they make food fast, but maybe they should slow it down a little bit. Fries were over cooked, beef had all the appeal of a convenience store hotdog. Portions were tiny. The kids meal had a more substantial portion of meat than the full size sandwich, maybe I should’ve ordered that. I think once was enough for this place.

This is a nice takeout place in Parkville. Got the pit beef and fries with a drink for the combo. The sandwich was on a roll. They offered rye and wheat also which maybe I should have done. The roll was a bit thick which overpowered the beef. The beef was a little more well done than I prefer but it was tasty. The fries were terrific. Boardwalk style. Hot and well salted. Really good.

The price was reasonable, but the ribs were quite small. However, considering the cost, I suppose that's acceptable. The lemonade, on the other hand, was fantastic. Unfortunately, the ribs were a bit overcooked for my liking, which overshadowed the flavor with too much char. Would I give them another chance? This was the worst ribs and it happened the last time too, but used to be the best. Always try after a bad time because that happens. But two times in a row. The rib were very tough and the cole slaw sour. Hopefully no one eats the slaw tonight. Don't usually write things but felt it necessary this time.

Have been going here for years, pit beef sandwich with onion BBQ and horseradish. Couldn't even count how many of those ice crushed lol. Ribs are good too. Had a majority of the things on the menu, one thing I've been disappointed with is themac n cheese. They should rework the recipe.

CHARCOAL GRILL NEVER MISSES! Ribs, wings, and sides always hit just right and feed my family with a little extra leftover for the next day! First time trying their chicken noodle soup also (sore throat) and it was just as if my Grammy had made it. Love to support your business!

I've been eating here for 30 years. I live out of state now but no visit back is complete without my pit beef sandwich. Fries are great too!

First time back in a while. chicken cordon bleu which was my favorite. chicken was a little dry smaller portions also in my opinion
