I've been to this Charleys Philly Steaks location several times and generally found the food to be decent. However, during my latest visit, I ordered the fiesta steak fries, which had very little cheese on them. I politely asked an employee to add more cheese, and he did. Unfortunately, the manager then reprimanded the employees and came over to my table, insisting that I should have ordered extra cheese and paid for it. Having just spent $29 on two cheesesteaks and fries, I found this interaction not only embarrassing but also humiliating in front of other customers. If handled more professionally, this situation could have been avoided. This will be my final visit to this location.
Charleys Philly Steaks is a fairly typical spot that started in mall food courts and has since expanded into standalone restaurants. I tried the Philly cheesesteak along with bacon cheese fries. Sadly, both the sandwich and fries were only lukewarm, even though I ate there. The food was okay, but nothing remarkable.
I've generally had a great experience ordering wings from Charleys Philly Steaks, but today I decided to try the boneless wings and ended up very disappointed. I ordered 50 pieces in four different flavors, and they were all tough, dry, and lacking flavor. Even my kids refused to eat them.
Had it before they only had provolone cheese. Hated it. Now they atleast have cheese wiz. One of the best cheesesteak I had in a very long time it's better then Jersey Mike's by far. Get the old school cheesesteak.
