Prior to this incident, I had at least six other occasions where regulars took my marked seat or made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome; I kept my hurt feelings to myself. When I finally chose to speak up, I quickly regretted it. If you look at the one-star reviews (just click on 'lowest'), you'll see that other newer patrons have also been ejected for no valid reason. This is illegal. I'm seriously considering taking legal action. The dismissive owner seems to revel in blaming the customers for the disgusting, prejudicial, and illegal behavior of his rude staff. It appears he wants to benefit financially but shirk any responsibility for running his establishment in a respectful, lawful ma...

Like many others have noted, this bar does not seem welcoming to outsiders. When faced with negative reviews, the management often deflects responsibility by blaming patrons for drinking too much. While that may be true in some cases, it's clear this is a tactic to avoid accountability. I've visited Charlie O's numerous times, and consistently found the service to be quite poor. It's unfortunate that this is one of the only two late-night spots in Montpelier. I hope the establishment works on enhancing its service for everyone, not just the regulars who tend to monopolize the bar and pool table.

Not to be deterred by electrical, floor, and other interior post-flood renovations, The Veranda is up and running at Charlie Os. Sign states takeout food welcome so I brought my styro-packed snack in from up the street and had outdoor food and beer in the midst of an otherwise downtown recovery zone.

This place is terrible lady bartender was very rude. The management contacted me said they took care of the problem and they didn't.

Cool little place. Been around for a very long time. Like the decor. Got the feeling they really don 't like 'outsiders '

Little hole in the wall with all the character one could pack into it! I have always loved the vibe.

Dope dive bar with pool table and live music. It's definitely a vibe.
