Chart House Redondo Beach

We arrived 5 minutes before the appointment time, only to be told there would be a 45 minute wait. What is the point of a reservation if the time doesn't matter. I even confirmed by email that I was going to be there. We were told we could sit at the bar or eat at the bar if we wanted to. Honestly having Easter dinner on a bar stool wasn't my idea of a great experience. We did however go to the bar, found a small bistro style area and sat down. 2 ladies next to us with a small child told us they had been waiting 2 hours for their meal to arrive. Soo ordered the sale bar in anticipation of a long wait. We were eventually seated at a table 30 minutes later, but service was super slow. Food was very good, as usual. Waited over an hour for the lava cake so got it to go . Worth the wait?? No

We had a 3:15 reservation but weren’t seated until 4:10. We ordered our meals and got salads appetizers pretty quickly then waited an hour for our meal. The hosts were overwhelmed. The server was fine but over worked. We had a 4 month old grandson who was a trouper but it took 3 hours to get a preplanned meal.

My birthday and it was Easter too, so I understand that they were busy. The staff did their best and did a really great job.
