After a nice day hike on the winter snow trails around Sorenberg we had a delicious meal in Chäs Stübli, which is now under new management. The decor is classic rustic Swiss with candles and balls, warm wood fittings and historical photos of winter sports in black and white. The nice staff was very helpful and friendly, and the owner's daughter could help with the translation. My son said the garlic sauce that accompanied the steak on a hot stone (CHF 41) was the best he had ever eaten. I enjoyed a classic fondue (CHF 27) with my daughter, accompanied by a red wine from Valais. The restaurant also serves excellent local Eichhof beer from Lucerne. The desserts were very drawn in local recipes...
