Chat 19 American Grill

I recently visited Chat 19 and tried the carrot/ginger soup and white onion soup, both served with warm crusty bread, which were excellent. The flour-less chocolate cake was light and delicious, and the espresso was perfect. The only disappointing dish was the grilled portabello and pepper salad, which lacked seasoning and had too much vinegar. The atmosphere on Friday night was cheerful, with many families and well-behaved children. As the night went on, more couples on dates joined the crowd. The restaurant is decorated with jumbo-sized photos of old Hollywood superstars from the 1930s to the 1950s, adding to the charm of the place. I will definitely come back again.

Recent review as of December 2023. I had a fantastic and laid-back meal at this restaurant. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. I highly recommend this place if you are in Larchmont, NY. The bartenders are great and the cocktails are delicious. The live music added a nice touch, but the volume was too loud, making it difficult to have a conversation with my meal companions.

Ordered turkey burger with fries. The order took a very long time. The burger was burnt and very dry. Many of the fries were hard as plastic. Service was slow even though a lot of wait staff. Food: 2 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 3

The food is consistently well prepared at this restaurant. The service can be inconsistent in terms of punctuality, but the staff is always friendly. The drinks are also good.
