We had booked two nights for the night of 31/12 New Year and the night before. Bad surprise of the evening, where we had a separate room with several worries: bathroom with windows on the garden but shaded blinds, shameful and not work 2 technician interventions, fortunately available. No lighting at night on the outside staircase with a room on the floor: the technician has always spent more than an hour changing 4 bulbs! . The bathroom without heating with a single heated towel! Fortunately, we have a mild winter... Hot water arrives after 10 minutes with a gun in the shower!!!! For a 5-star, it is not acceptable. It wasn't just the room. A very pleasant moment, coming for the Christmas market, I appreciate this magical place every year. Not having the chance to have good time, we stayed inside where the bartender offered us with simplicity a tasting of 3 wines of our choice. A young polyglot man who directed the explanations of his passion with poetry and professionalism. Then the unique restaurant menu for the occasion. And there again, a welcome for the little care with Morgan who knew his work very well. Shortly, professional he found us a table and we enjoyed ourselves with good dishes and the simplicity of the moment in this magnificent setting. 2 nights stay in the Abricot room with New Year's Eve at Le Jardin de Berne restaurant and duo massage. I like the land for its tranquility. The set is very beautiful even in winter. Staff are friendly and professional. The restaurant deserves its star. Room service is a strong point. The bar is hot. The simple but very clean and comfortable room. The valet service is irreproachable. I loved the welcome with the buffet of the 13 desserts at the library and its fireplace so romantic. The spa is perfect and massages too. I recommend and I'll come back. Thanks to the whole team for his work.

The welcome is good! The spa is splendid!! Everything is wonderful except bistro food is devastated! Unfortunately this is the second time I eat in this restaurant, always as disappointed! Too bad for a wonderful place that food is not good! I expected better, to meals with local products!! And especially that it is the only restaurant in the hotel. I don’t have the words to share all my emotions for this 5-day stay at Bern Castle. Christine, the reception team, the restaurants were all great, professional, smiling and so kind. We left with our daughter who left with tears in her eyes. Thank you for this unique and incredible experience.. we leave memories full of our head! Nothing better to start this year 2023. MERCI
