There is no real wine list except for a few bottles on a rack with the prices marked on them. The food menu is a couple items written on a blackboard. In fact on the first night the host/owner apologised profusely for not having food...to serve as he hadn't had the time to sort any out. However, he had some bread and cheese and he'd give us those for free to go with our wine. Having had rather too much of Lyon's traditional bouchon cuisine the previous day I was still suffering from indigestion so was very relaxed about just having a glass of wine and a snack. Had two lovely evenings here tasting some very enjoyable wine and had a platter with huge smoked mozzarella, sun dried tomatoes and some fresh crusty bread. The guy who runs it does so single handed, it was nicely busy on both Friday evenings we had...opportunity to visit with a little light jazz music playing in the background. Very pleasant to sit chat and people watch. Meanwhile the genial host provides samples of wines for you to taste and select what you would like a full glass of at a go. Highly recommended laid back and fun place to spend an evening. Will definitely return next time we're in Lyon.

Chateneuf du peuple was a great discover during our days in Lyon. We went to have dinner twice and it was a good experience. The owner is very kind and knows a lot about organic wines. He's very friendly and the place has a good...atmosphere. The food is good as well: cheese, bread, ham, olives or other snacks. You can also eat and you can be sure that all the the ingredients are quality.

Delicious casual moment at Chateauneuf Du Peuple friendly service, great wine and delicious bites await anyone who wants to call by. The bar has a friendly, relaxed and casual vibe and is just on the edge of tourist central in Vieux Lyon. château neuf du peuple delivered exactly the wine bar experience we were looking for in lyon. they can taste the wee before committing themselves to a glass, and all wee are quite expensive. we had some really delicious and interesting natural wines....Let's end here for hours and I wish I could clone this bar and put it in my neighborhood.

We loved this quaint spot. The owner was attentive and so knowledgeable. We sampled a few wines and quickly discovered one we loved. The owner provided a beautiful cheese sampler that paired perfectly. The place is comfortable and artsy without being overstated or snobby. I...wish we lived near here as this would be a regular place for us.

We stumbled upon this great place and had such a lovely time! The owner gave us the opportunity to try some wonderful wines before having the whole glass and the cheese board was phenomenonal! A perfect spot for catching up with friends or developing a...budding romance. A must try when in Lyon!

this city is a must to its extremely picturesque, has fantastic prospects and produces beautiful wine. there is a castle in the city, although this is on a steep hill. beautiful restaurants in the environment, but the average price of the meal is many places. to buy and taste wine.
