Checkered Pig Bbq Ribs

I ordered online to pick up. Chopped a barbecue sandwich, something that was described as chipped ham sandwich, two hot dogs, and onion rings and mac and cheese. There were four people behind the pick up counter. One on my right ringing folks up; three on my left taking a takeout order for a single person. No one looked at me or smiled or spoke. Finally I asked if I could pick up my order. Got home and was disappointed. The barbecue sandwich was great. The two hot dogs were gray and under dressed. Clean, friendly, efficient. We had dinner plates. Everything was delicious! Chopped BBQ pork had a wonderful flavor, very moist! The hot sauce was fantastic. We tried every sauce at the table and they were all delicious. The fries were great too! The baked beans were flavorful. The hush puppies were the best and softest I've ever tasted! They were savory, not sweet, but just enough crunch on the outside. The brisket is why I gave 4 stars for the food, but if I could give 4.5 I would. Was recommended to go here by one of the locals. Not a bad BBQ spot. The restaurant was clean, the staff was friendly and the ambiance gave off authentic bbq restaurant vibes. I Ordered the pull pork sandwich with Mac and cheese and baked beans. I don’t think I waited 5 minutes and my food was up and ready. The sandwich had a good healthy portion of meat and despite not having any bbq sauce on it tasted delicious. It also comes with a vinegar medium that adds to the flavor of the sandwich. I had an amazing experience at this restaurant for the first time. The 1/2 Champions family feast was delicious and the sides were just as impressive as the barbecue. The meat was tender and flavorful, from the fall-off-the-bone ribs to the perfectly cooked brisket. I will definitely return, even if it means a 2 ½ hour drive. I have been on a quest for the best BBQ in Virginia since 2012. I have been to over 70 BBQ joints in Virginia since 2012. Reading the negative reviews. I think I'm not gonna travel 170 miles to visit your location! The reviews I read about your Mac n cheese sealed the deal. Come to Richmond Virginia folks, and try Alamo BBQ or Deep Run Road House BBQ for some jalapeno Mac n cheese!
