If I could give this place zero stars, I would. Me and my girl went in there and ordered a deluxe chicken sandwich, wrap, and the skinny fries that were advertised on the menu. First let me start with the fries. The menu advertised skinny fries that were supposed to be “crispy and delicious”. However, we didn’t get that. We got soggy crinkle cut fries. Why put something on the menu if you’re not going to give the customer the right type of fries that were expected? I first discovered Cheeks Chicken and Waffles via Instagram. The last post was in January so I wasn?t sure if the establishment was still open. I went on google and learned that it is open. The pics I saw on IG was enticing. So I have it a try today and the food was tasty. I enjoy trying new restaurants and am glad that I came. I am a member of the local baptist church in the area. I will be back. The chicken and waffles are well made.

Quality down, prices clinked. If you're here when they opened you first? I paid $12 for what you see. The Mac cheese used to be creamy and the pasta was different, currently microwave and tasted like the box version for children. The chicken strips had no weight to them, fat, fried over? The chickens they use are on a diet.

Great food, very friendly staff. I love the place but my wife not so much. We waited an extra 10 minutes for onion rings 4 to be exact), not worth the $2.49, in our opinion... 2 months later) Must be a different cook from when I used to go there all the time. The Carolina reaper sauce is the same it's so good, waffles are still pretty good,but that's all. I wish they could go back to how it was
Happy there's finally a NJ location! Everything here tastes so fresh. Tenders are big and juicy you definitely get more bang for your buck. Chicken is prepared fresh daily and never frozen! Their liege style waffle is packed with flavor on its own without any extra toppings. Staff is extremely friendly
