Service was very attentive and fast. And everything we ordered was very good. We started with the beef and tripe in chili oil even though it was something out of our comfort zone and were pleasantly surprised. Even our picky children liked it. The Herbal Tea Smoked Duck was awesome and full flavored. So was Sichuan Farmers Dry Pot Lamb. I would definitely recommend these two dishes. Ginger Shredded Duck was good but not as exciting as the other two dishes. We would definitely recommend this restaurant and we will be going again.
I ordered takeout from Chef Tan through UberEats, and I would absolutely do it again—10 out of 10! This place offers a genuine Chinese takeout experience, with no typical Americanized dishes on the menu. While those American-style dishes can be tasty, it's rare to find true authentic options in this area, making this restaurant a real gem! We tried the Beef Rice Noodles, Beef Ribs with Black Pepper, 3 Cup Chicken, and the Dry Pepper Dish. We’d definitely order everything again, but our favorite was the Dry Pepper Dish!
Authentic, creative, and full of flavor! Everything was fresh and tasted fantastic. Our server was incredibly friendly and personable; she took the time to explain each dish and recommended a few items based on our preferences. She was very knowledgeable about the menu and clearly took pride in the food they serve. We will definitely return for more delicious, authentic meals!
Every time I visited, I ordered the fried whole fish, which was a generous portion for two. I've tried several restaurants in the UD area, and this one was the best. The only downside is the tipping policy; gratuity is automatically included at a rate of 15% on your bill, so you don't have the option to tip separately.

Loved everything about Chef Tan. The food was fresh and delicious. Not the normal take out chinese! Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu, how the food was prepared and the spice level of each dish. All the servers made the experience very enjoyable. Would recommend Chef Tan wholeheartedly.
My family visited this restaurant and we absolutely enjoyed the food. I had the eggplant in chili sauce, and it was delicious! The waitress was very friendly as well. It feels more authentic than other places in the area, and we really loved it.

They used to be good (7/10), but recently the food has been terrible (2/10), likely due to a change in the chef. The prices don’t reflect the poor quality and portion sizes either.
