I discovered chez Xu in Lausanne years back and was so happy to find out they opened in Vevey, so much closer to where I live in Montreux. Hands down the best Chinese restaurant around. Food is very delicious, I personally love their lamb stew, not forgetting the fish stew and also had the opportunity to try out their daily menu; aubergines with mince meat, what a treat. The lady boss is extremely nice, the restaurant is clean and portions are just amazingly huge. Real moneys’ worth, always a delight to go back and eat there. Thank you for making authentic Chinese food!
Possibly the best deal in Vevey. Eating out in Switzerland is very expensive. Chef Xu’s Menu Du Jour for 17CHF (roughly $17) is a great deal. Choose 1 app, 1 main, and pick either rice or noodles. Everything we had was excellent and the main portion size was very generous. We went for lunch so I’m not positive if it’s available at dinner time. They also had wine for very reasonable prices. Very quiet setting and friendly service. We are in Vevey for another week and will definitely go again for lunch before we leave.
This is a hidden gem in Vevey! The restaurant is so authentic, from the decoration to service food. The dishes are exactly like chinese one in mainland, hearty with generous amount. The owner is so lovely anf kind. This is by far the best Chinese place in the whole Switzerland. Please come and support this owner!
Little restaurant, close to the railroad station in the Main Street. Day menu 16 chf; soup and main course. Choice out of three. That’s what I like; not too complicated, and focus on taste rather than quantity. Do not expect a high end sophisticated meal; do expect simple good food.

Was als Notfalltakeaway an einem regnerischen Sonntag begann endete als delikater Ausflug in eine authentische nordchinesische Küche. Aber Achtung: die Takeaway Portionen sind riesig. Wenn wir wieder in Vevey sind kommen wir sicher wieder!
Very friendly staff but impressively inefficient and slow. Delicious dishes, watch out for astronomical quantities. Bring a meal for two or a doggy bag.

A treat... I have never had Chinese food for so little money that doesn't compromise on quality. Really excellent, I look forward to returning.
