This restaurant looked very small from the outside but don't let that stop you from entering through the front door. The restaurant was neat, tidy and clean. The staff were friendly and the service was great. The best part of all is the food. I would rate this food 5 out of 5. Everything that came to our table was piping hot from the deep fried paneer right down to the stuffed naan. I had the Chicken Korma, a heavenly delight of spices in a creamy cashew curry sauce. Butter Chicken and Cheese Balls in a tomato cashew curry sauce was my grand daughters meals. Even the young kids can enjoy this food, it is not over spiced unless you order the food that states that it can't be made mild. Staff...
Have been here several times both for lunch and dinner and the food is consistently good and flavourful. The setting is certainly not pretentious but comfortable and the service good as well. However, the star of the show is the food. The pakoras never come across as overly greasy like many other places and the naan always served warm and just the right amount of crispness. Other faves? The shahi paneer - excellent! - chicken korma? - just as good. It's hard to try new items when the usual orders are just too good to stray from. The lunch special is also a great deal and you won't leave hungry.
I visited this restaurant about a year ago with a colleague and it was a fabulous experience. Returned again with family to find the food and service excellent. When paying, I was disappointed that I was not able to tip. It was not an option on the machine and my server refused cash on the table, saying it was against policy. Surely we should be able to reward excellent service? I hope that your servers receive a higher hourly wage in lieu of tips? Again, only bringing this up because of the superb service we received.
On impulse a group of us stopped here after a business confrence. They were able to accomodate a group of 8. We each ordered a dish and then shared. The food was good and filling. The waiter forgot to order several of our dishes, so we were almost done before we recieved our nan bread and other dishes. We ordered a bottle of red wine which came almost hot. We have driven past this place daily and from the outside really plain, however, go inside! The decor is warm and inviting, service was fantastic and all of us were impressed with the food!! Our friends have gone to some of the other indian restaurants that rate higher than this place and raved about it. Not many places four people can have supper and drinks under 60.00. This is the real deal and we will be stopping in alot!!
