A lovely gem in the country side. I’m a big fan of this restaurant. I enjoyed my visit there every time. Great food and great country atmosphere. There were indoor and outdoor seatings. A lot people were there either with friends or family. We were there for Sunday roast a couple of times and a few lunches during the week. Food were awesome. Service was very good and staffs were friendly. Restroom was clean. A parking lot available just outside the building. Definitely will return. Fully recommended. Food was amazing and more than enough on the plate, I had the lamb, my wife had the turkey and both of us said it was the best meal we have had in a very long time. The staff were very friendly and helpful our waitress was Bella she was lovely and it was great that well behaved dogs are allowed inside, this made life easy for us. We have booked a return visit in a few weeks, I would say this is a true find and although you definitely need to book ahead of time for food ,you won’t be disappointed.
We visit regularly for drinks or a quick lunch but got the chance to have a rare evening out and chose to visit the Chequers so we could sample the main menu! Food was fantastic and we were greated warmly by Felix and his team. Remains one of our favourite places in the area to go. So much character, fab staff and really good food.
Called in for lunch after taking the pups out for a walk. Seated outside which was fine, cold but sunny day. For food we had sausage sandwich, prawn salad and bacon and brie sandwich, all outstanding and service spot on. Very much a dog friendly pub so if you are walking your dogs well worth a visit.

Chequers has been setting the standard for a perfect country pub for years. A great selection of hand pulled ales and an excellent changing menu of restaurant quality food. You can't really go wrong eating or drinking here. Price per person: £30–40

I've loved the chequers for over 50 years (scary) but £14.50 for a toasted vegetarian sandwich, no matter how good it is, is taking the Price per person: £20–30 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Chips
