I have been going to chesa salis for years to dinner and I have always loved this place. the restaurant was very good in the past, the atmosphere was always very special. presumably one of the best restaurants in engadin thanks to the hospitality and style of former owners manager (sibylla and jurg degiacomi). Unfortunately, they decided to leave bever and this place is no longer the same. I just went to eat again recently. what a disappointment! When I came to the hotel, I felt that this place has changed. eating is now average and the service cold and unprofessional (mr. degiacomi has led the show in restaurant with style, efficiency and smiles). I recommended this place about the years ma...

This restaurant was one of the most pleasant surprises on our recent stay in this area. The setting in the garden is beautiful and the food was spectacular. Dining here is not cheap but then again everywhere you dine in Switzerland is expensive especially when using Canadian dollars! However, for the little bit more you spend at this restaurant, you get a lot better food and we felt it was worth the splurge. The pea soup was delicious as a starter. I had the rack of lamb in Pinot Noir sauce which was outstanding.Would highly recommend this restaurant for a great dining experience.

We (family of four, kids 11 and 12) recently had one of our nicest meals in Switzerland at Chesa Salis. The setting is beautiful -- in a historic hotel, next to a lovely garden and the food and service are excellent. This is a special place, worthy of special occasions. The menu is not inexpensive, but it is worth it. My husband had beef tartar and lamb, and I had a chick pea salad and trout. The kids ordered chicken and veal from the kids menu, and everyone enjoyed their meal. Dessert was also excellent (either chocolate cake or a type of battered ice cream).

Very good restaurant with the best Angus beef of the Alps! The cattle comes from the Engadin valley, Chef Sebastian Quednau knows what to do with this wonderful meat. Best is from the open Grill. There are two separate rooms for smaller parties, all with original wood panelling and decorated with contemporary artwork. The owner, Jürg Degiacomi, is a big wine lover and always finds something new and rare. The value for money is great, exspecially in the expensive Engadin. The 4-course meal with regional specialties and Angus is at CHF 98.00.

We went there with the whole family. We good a nice round table in a corner. That eve we wanted to eat fish (after a week of meat), and i tried the carpaccio from angelfish and salmon. After that we took sea bass at lentils. both really fantastic and worth a try. Fresh incredients and perfect excecution - i hardly had it better in sea locations. I guess with kids some might feel a bit unconfortable if you are not used to go regularly out - but we and our kids liked it and food for kids was also very good. Place to go again!

OK, we didn't exactly go to the 1000CHF/pp fine dining restaurants in St. Moritz, but we traveled around quite a bit and I must say the atmosphere, the food and the service were just perfect and the best we had in the Engadine region. Bever could be a great base for a summer visit (don't know about winter), and the hotel; the outdoor tables etc look lovely. There's not much to do in Bever itself, just for the note.

If you want to enjoy a little gem of a restaurant (and hotel) hidden away in the old part of Bever village, then this is a must destination! The wood paneled rooms show off the amazing wood work skills that exist in this part of the Alps. The food is deliciously prepared and all oozes with incredible care and attention. What a great setting to pamper your pallet Reserva una mesa ahora

We had a free night in St. Moritz and felt like Italian, so a coupe from he tour tried this restaurant. It was steeped in history, the food was great as was the service. The only negative was the bill. The most expensive pizza we've ever had. But that's St. Moritz. Still a good place to eat.
