Chester's Fried Chicken - Crystal Beach

This is a very small business that offers takeaway only, there is no place to sit and dine unless you want to walk through the side door into the sister business - South Coast Cookhouse. No, you cannot take the chicken from here into SCC (health regulations) but you can order it from SCC's menu.They serve the average "Americanized" fried chicken that is OK but quite greasy. The fries are not worth the time of day.The service was rather slow. That's surprising as it's so small and there is barely enough space for two staff to work.Pricing is a little high for being takeaway only. It's a place I wouldn't go back to unless I was in the area and was in the mood for fried chicken.It's an OK place...

Chester's is a great little Fried Chicken place - the chicken tastes like other Chester's franchises I have ate at, and the staff is very friendly.They tend to have the chicken pre-cooked, but when it is busy it can be a very long wait (by long, I mean close to an hour some days).My advice is that if you drive by and it is quiet, go in, if not, call ahead and get a confirmed time to come back and pick up your meal.

We love chesters chicken & the potato wedges that are breaded seasoned & fried. I wish I could say with all the heavenly crispy goodness because sometimes a bunch of the crispy crunchy chicken goodness nocked off when they are digging to find the pieces desired. She also has hand dipped hard ice cream that is just wonderful. I highly recommend their chicken & that says alot since I am from the south.

Great broasted chicken and fresh cut fries at a reasonable price. Excellent service by Heather. Too bad it's closing to make way for improvements at South Coast. Will be missed.

this is not fine dining just good chicken.the cooking is done to order and always fresh. they are attached to other food stands and seem to compliment each other.

It is superior to KFC, but unfortunately, as locals, we have found that it is not always open when we pass by. It is best not to plan on dining here.

I found the food to be over greasy. Not the best tasting fried chicken I have had. Take out is what it is,,,,,,
