Tucked away in the basement on St Laurent Boulevard in China Town, Chez Bong is always welcoming. The décor is knotty pine chalet style with K-Pop running on the TV screen to put you in a retro mood.The food is what you will come back for time after time, though. Madame Bong and her family lovingly prepare all of the classic Korean favourites, piping hot, spicy and otherwise. With well over 20 visits, we have never been disappointed by the food, the friendly service and relaxed atmosphere.Lunch time tends to be very busy, and rightfully so!

I visited this restaurant many times over more than 10 years , this is a family restaurant , you could expect a Home food cooking style ,not a fancy one .I really love the bibimbap in the stone bow l, quite crunchy and good ,also good are seafood pancake and japchae .the grill beef bulgogi is so so since it is already cooked in the kitchen not at the table. Since it is a family restaurant so the décor are clean and warm due to wood panelling ,the portion are good ,the food are tasty and affordable .Good for lunch and dinner .

I was yesterday at Bong's restaurant with a friend for dinner. The place, located in a basement, is a Korean restaurant. As such, it's an average one, not a high class. The service was efficient and the food is not different from what somebody can expect from an ordinary Korean restaurant. Clients were young and price wasn't expensive. It is the type restaurant that can be visited when you want to have lunch or a quick dinner and when you feel like eating Korean food.

This restaurant is worth the effort, on the lower part of St. Laurent and down the stairs...it is not very large, however looks like a suburban basement with its wood paneled walls. The food is always tasty and reasonably priced. The 2nd generation is now taking the lead and not missing a beat set by the mother put it all in motion. Great Korean eats in the heart of Chinatown. Waow,On est rentrés par hasard et c'était vraiment délicieux, savoureux à souhait !Je recommande les crevettes tempura et les dumplings: succulents. J'ai pris du boeuf au barbecue et mon mari une soupe,Tout etait copieux et vraiment bon. N'hésitez pas !

Each time I am in the neighborhood and it is a "meal time", I stop here. Hid in a basement, the place itself doesn't have a lot of seating. Being a loner diner, I really don't mind sharing a 4-place table with another loner eater :)

Dans un sous-sol. Dommage! aucun cachet ou charme asiatique pour faire découvrir la culture. Au départ, il faut être un amateur de mets coréens pour apprécier le menu.

le repas était délicieux. Le service excellent malgré l'achalandage. un résto que j'ai découvert grace à un ami et je vais y retourné sans l'ombre d'un doute.
