Chez Julien - Reserva de mesa

Wir erlebten wunderbare Ferientage in Paunat.Zweimal haben wir im Chez Julien gegessen. Es ist ein Lokal abseits der grossen Touristenströme.Der grosse und wunderschöne Aussenbereich lädt zumVerweilen ein. Die Mitarbeitenden sind allesamt sehr zuvorkommendund äusserst herzlich.Das Angebot ist nicht allzu üppig. Sämtliche Gerichte sind vonhervorragender Qualität. Und es wird in der Umgebung eingekauft.(Wenn man Glück hat, sieht man den Chef auf dem Markt in Le Bugue).Neben der wunderschönen Kirche im Licht der letzten Sonnenstrahlenzu dinieren - das isst man glücklich!!!

We popped in here at lunchtime and managed, amazingly, to eat without a reservation. Within 20 minutes, it was full.Possibly the most beautiful setting for a restaurant that I've ever visited. It has to be seen to be believed.The food is brilliant as is the service. My wife is a veggie and loved her lunch too!Given the love and attention, it is not expensive!Advice?Book in advance.Try to choose a sunny day and eat outside.If you're eating at lunchtime, don't plan anything after lunch...We loved it so much that we are going back for dinner on Saturday night.

réservation au dernier moment un dimanche matin pour une table à l'ombre le midi. Accueil dés plus sympathique et agréable. Le personnel est aux petits soins. Le cadre est superbe à coté de l'abbatiale de Paunat. Nous avons déjeuné au calme et ce fut simplement divin. La carte est bien fournie et il y a viandes et poissons ce qui n'est pas le cas dans beaucoup de restaurant en Périgord. Les riz de veau aux cèpes et le poisson étaient merveilleusement présentés et ce fût un régal des papilles.Adresse à ne pas manquer. Nous reviendrons

We came by chance upon this lovely restaurant in the very charming village of Paunat. Other reviews say it all.. We had a great meal starting with goats cheese on toast with topping and salad and an apricot and chicken terrine, followed by stuffed guinea fowl served with sweet potato puree and egg terrine. Finished off with creme brulee and panna cotta. Excellent meal, great service, English spoken and a very reasonable bill. Reserva una mesa ahora

Service impeccable et très sympathique, repas délicieux et de qualité bien présenté, cadre fabuleux, face à l'église romane de Paunat.Nous étions en famille, avec un bébé et un petit de 2 ans, qui s'est régalé d'un déjeuner aussi raffiné que le nôtre (magret de canard, purée de fèves), ce qui l'a changé du typique "hamburger-frites" !

Restaurant du terroir situé dans le Périgord noir face à l’abbatiale de Paunat. Le cadre est idyllique. L'accueil y est impeccable. Nous y avons très bien mangé. En revanche une petite déception, en effet les frites ne sont pas maison (congelées), ainsi que le pain dommage...Nous conseillons vraiment d'y aller ça vaut le détour.

Nous allons régulièrement dans ce restaurant proche de l'abbatiale de Paunat C'est toujours aussi excellent !Des plats très raffinés avec une mention particulière pour les ris de veau !Julien toujours aussi sympathique et professionnel !À recommander sans limites ...

Exceptional service; exceptional food; yet unpretentious; Julian speaks excellent English, as do his staff; exceptional setting. Never disappoints (I first visited with my folks in 2016 and vowed to bring my wife here). Amazing and thank you Julian. I will be back Reserva una mesa ahora

We ate here to celebrate a friends birthday. The setting for Chez Julien is perfect. Set close to the church in Paunat with well kept gardens. The food is exceptional and the staff are attentive and helpful.

We had a very good lunch here. The guinea fowl was superb. The restaurant must have a good reputation as I can't imagine anyone finding it by accident.
