On sunday every restaurant in Clermont-Ferrand city center seems closed, so finally we ate at this restaurant on the industrial site near our hotel. It was the best looking place in the area, and as the titel says, the ambiance is ok. The menu is simple and we chose for a pizza and a flamkueche. What the difference is, I do not know. My experience with pizza's in France is that they are mostly very average, and not at all alike an original pizza in Italy. The prices are ok, but when looking at the ingrediants used selling pizza's must be a lucrative business. Ate here as a convenient option next to stopover hotel and were really pleasantly surprised. Nice range of beers on offer and a good choice of sizes (as Brits we are used to pint or half pint).! We both had a kind of local flan dish which was delicious. Atmosphere was nice and prices were reasonable. Only downside was the waiter kind of disappeared and then seemed to be ignoring us when it came to settling the bill, wouldn't normally be a big deal but after long day driving we just wanted to get back to our hotel and sleep! Would return.
Myself and my daughter were stuck for time and wanted a quick meal before going to the ballet on a Friday evening. We asked if it would be possible to be in and out in 40 minutes. No problem they said and we had maincourse and coffee after in just under half an hour! My daughter had a very tasty burger and I had a delicious hotdog made with a bretzel bun and sauerkaut all washed down with very nice raspberry beer. The waitress was very alert and friendly. I would recommend it for their varied menu and service

Absolute horror. If you think it's hard to mess up a simple piece of meat this restaurant will prove it. Me and my daughter had a hamburger covered rich with all kinds of things but there was not one single taste to define. I even took the time to make a picture of a sad little peace of very old lettuce. Thank goodness we also packed some stomach pills to get through the night.
We have always had a jug of brown beer after a long day´s drive.I seem to remember it was better in the past.Also, as anywhere in France, it was vastly overpriced. It works out at just under 10 Euros per litre which is silly for beer served in a jug.
Both my husband and I had food poisoning after having the special at this restaurant. I have major doubts about the hygiene in the restaurant and I definitely would not return.
Food ok. Setting ok. The feel of a massive chain restaurant. With so many wonderful restaurants in the area I would really give this one a miss.

Menu is typical grills and pizzas. Service is excellent. Prices about13 euros per main meal. Wine is adequate. For the price it's not bad.
Great food especially their Flammekueches. I've never liked pizzas until I tasted these. Just off the motorway and well worth a visit.
