First off, the location is stunning especially from the terrace perched above the Tarn. Service is good, friendly and attentive without ever being pushy. Before addressing the food, readers should bear in mind that this review is based on the price level and the expectations that this carries. If you're looking for Michelin starred gastronomic innovations you're in the wrong place and the wrong price bracket. The pâté we started with was homemade and very, very good. I had trout for the maincourse. The fish was lightly spiced with some salt and pepper and served with lime to squeeze over exactly what you'd want when the fish is fresh and of good quality as it were here. The trout was cooked...
The only reason I didn't give this cafe just one circle is that the view are magnificent, perched precipitously high above the River Tarn. But the food was pretty indifferent, with a very ordinary and not very generous assiette of charcuterie, followed by Roquefort omelettes and greasy chips. We each (four of us) had the omelettes, and they appeared on two serving dishes, cutting each omelette in half to serve. There was no salad or additional vegetables apart from the greasy chips and the four omelettes came to €40!! Admittedly we had seen the price on the menu, but did not imagine that there would be one omelette between two and they would come with nothing other than the chips. The omelet...
Platonic home, ratio quantity prices to review. Exorbitant price for what's on the plates. A roquefort omelette (where was it? shared in three, and a bowl of fries for four. No vegetable accompaniment or even a little salad. Desserts defrosted and without presentation. Cheese plate... Or rather a slice of cheese. And for so little, 20€ per person...Concerning the establishment, trust the facade...No card payment so...Do not recommend.
A small restaurant that doesn't pay a mine, seen from outside! the surprise comes .... from what we serve you in the plate (we have taken twice fries) ... more the boss is nice, pleasant (malgre the Mask) helpful and a perfect host! a mandatory stop if you want to spend a good time and enjoy its small terrace overlooking the gorges!
