Two friends and I had been exploring the upper reaches of the Automne River Valley visiting churches opened for the bi-annual "35 Clochers en Vallée de l'Automne" event. Thwarted at the Domaine de Coyolles and Aux Menus Plaisirs in Villers-Cotterêts, both of which were fully booked, we settled for Chez Memo, a pizzaria in the heart of town.
