French cuisine is my favorite and I?ve been searching the city for a restaurant that has soufflés. Nevertheless, I am so happy I stumbled upon Chez Napoléon and couldn?t believe I was able to make a reservation for two on the same day for a Friday. Upon arrival, I felt cozy vibes and like I had stumbled into a little restaurant in Paris. Our waitress immediately greeted us at the table. She was so attentive, friendly, and gave excellent recommendations on what to order. I started off with the escargots, which were tasty. You?ll find great food and an even better atmosphere ?excuse me, ambiance? at this cozy, family-owned French restaurant. Their no-frills, no-modern-takes presentation of classic French cuisine will leave you content. The lovely waitress, the old- school owner, and the owner?s Goth son/bartender make this a one-of-kind experience. There are plenty of Napoléon portraits and French puzzles to keep you entertained while you drink wine and wait for the food. The canard l?orange and cassoulet were great.
This restaurant is really cool. It’s small and intimate and the food is pretty decent/good. The owner is extremely nice and the wait staff are all completely amazing. The bartender and owner may put on a facade as if he is a super tough Gothic dude but inside he’s really sweet, warm, caring, and quite funny don’t let his appearance freak you out/stereotype. Overall is great and I definitely would return.

I am terribly saddened that Chez Napoleon hasn't yet been able to reopen. I love this restaurant. My husband and I have gone every New Years Eve for years. And I used to go regularly with my father many decades ago. It has left a big hole in our NYClives to not have this wonderful as a regular option.
Food and experience is amazing. The place is like Time Capsule, which makes it so special. The owner and her adult children are very nice. My husband would bring me here for my birthday every year. But now I just wish that they offer a small vegan option menu so that we can continue the tradition.

A beautiful family owned restaurant with incredible food. Nice decor, good music and quality ingredients. Very good service as well. Felt like I teleported to Paris.. will definitely be back!
