This rustic family restaurant (open only for lunches) offers a hearty lunch in a fixed price and reasonable menu. Starting from local garbure (Basque veg soup) followed by baby trout then duck or lamb or both with chips then local sheep cheese and green salad then dessert! House wines very reasonable and the menu is totally unnecessary! In winter a roaring fire and in summer a terrace by babbling stream! Good parking but really winding road leading further up the mountain. Pas de Roland on the way utterly fabulous with a white water rafting possibility nearby! There are many walks in these mountains and the meal amply repays the exercise. Only about half an hour from Biarritz. Also fairly ea...

a walk to espelette!!!!We decide to get out of espelette to find a restaurant and we start a winding climb in the mountains! the magnificent view that has offered us does not make us rebroadcast! So far before st.Pierre!!!We say that our only chance of having lunch at a correct hour!!!I stop wondering if it's possible to eat and a very nice young man tells me that yes despite the fact that the restaurant is on reservation and that it is filled!!!Garbure to fall!Truitelle, duck and delicious lamb! Basque cheese and Basque cake to fall! everything was perfect in this place out of the temple that reminded me of my family restaurant in the countryside during my youth! Thank you for this beautifu...

advised by a nice Basque at a spelt terrace, we booked two days before to be sure to be able to eat there. We were not disappointed, we ate like epicurean ogres! the best, the grilled lamb with its exceptional taste, but the rest is also worth the sinuous and tiny road that leads us to this typical restaurant. in photo, the soup that doesn't pay a mine on its pretty plate but we tighten up three times! a welcome to the height of the place, charming.

a winding lace road that lets us discover the beautiful Basque landscapes before arriving at the table. a hearty menu at a reasonable price: 20th to serve you an excellent scrub, tasteful truits, lamb and ready-made duck. Anyway, we've been having fun.
