Chic Pea - Reserva de mesa

Lovely mountain restaurant right on the slopes in Whistler. This is a good coffee stop - they do delicious cinnamon buns. Or stop for lunch - the chick pea stew is amazing. It gets busy if the weather is bad or cold as it is not huge, but worth the stop once seated. This is self service and is very efficient. Good washrooms facilities too. Lots of seating outside if the sun is shining and it's a sun trap. This is a really cosy stop compared to all of the other mountain restaurants.

Unfortunately, the cinnamon balls at Chickpea have shrunk in size and are now hard. This was a disappointment for us, as we always made sure to visit Chickpea multiple times during our annual two-week trip to Whistler. After our first visit this year, we did not return. It is sad to say that this has been one of the highlights of our holiday for the past 15 years.

First went to Whistler in 2005 and loved the Chic Pea then.... it is still good and nice cosy place with clean facilities to re-group, warm up and eat something nourishing before getting yourself sorted to go back out to ski. Love the Whiskey Jacks (little birds) on the sundeck, love the soups and love that this is not a big barn of a place.

Sneaky tip! If you visit here - it's the place for hot choc and whiskey on the slopes, and organise some bird seeds. The run it's located on has a big tree out the front - and if you have some bird seeds on your hand and hold out your arm - the gorgeous little birds will come say hello. Reserva una mesa ahora

Return to this restaurant after a while very poor: away were the really good Wild Turkey Nams, away were the quality pizzas, away was the ability to pay money now just another quick food outlet without great quality at all... and all ridiculously expensive; a demolition in my view

The Chic PeaGreat little hill cafe on the slopes at the top of the Garbanzo Express chair lift.Smell the cinnamon buns before you step inside makes them irresistibleWell worth trying rather than the larger roundhouse if you are after a quick lunch stop (to maximise skiing time).

I know this will sound funny, as the other restaurants are fine on the mountain, but I love the fact that this is a little smaller and more cosy. I also love the fact that I don’t have to go down and upstairs in my ski boots to get to the loo. Food good.

Stopped here with our instructor for a snack brilliant cinnamon buns and what views from the outside patio. Serves beer too in case you fancy a quick one during your ski down the mountain. Reserva una mesa ahora

The Chic Pa does not get as busy as the main restaurants on the mountain so it is easier to get a seat and the food is good. The cinnamon buns are especially good!

Smaller than the other on-mountain venues but more quiet and less crowded. Limited menu is perfectly adequate. Love the Moroccan stew and the cinnamon rolls.
