Service we called ahead while we were on the way and got on the list. From arrival, it took us about 45 mins to be seated (busy Friday night, I get it). Our server was good, she did a great job with how busy she was. Bread absolutely delicious. It was fresh and so soft. My husband wished the butter wasn't cold, though, so he could spread it. Garden bar everything looked to be fresh, and what we ate was so good. They have a great variety on it. Breaded Cheese Nuggets overall, they were pretty good. The breading was a little thick and a little bland. Panko Shrimp with rice was delicious! Pineapple mule amazing.

This is a fantastic spot for cocktails, which range from $8 to $9, and they offer delicious steaks starting at $28 for a 12 oz portion. Their salad bar is impressive, and you can go back as many times as you like—just be sure to save some space for your main meal! My total bill was under $50, and I really enjoyed my time and the quality of the food. The waitress checked in on me regularly, which was great. I will definitely be coming back!

Do you want a great Prime Rib? Wow, this is the best I've had in a very VERY long time. The salad bar was open and plentiful. Our server was super friendly and very attentive, we had a party of 7 and she did an amazing job. Our food arrived at the same time and was perfect. The cocktails are just ok, but that's fine, they obviously focus on their food and customer service. We will be back, thanks for the amazing meal.

Food was good! I should have gotten potatoes with my prime rib instead of pasta but it was still good. Prime rib was big and juicy. Outside seasoning seemed a little light but the au jus and creamy horseradish made it work well. The salad bar is AWESOME and if you're stuffed after you eat but just need a bite or two of something sweet, try some fluff from the salad bar! Service was excellent by the way. Had the best experience tonight. Had a little bit of a wait, and sat at the bar until our seat was ready. Ordered a top shelf margarita and it was the best I've ever had! Then got seated and had Jeff as a waiter. Ask for him!!! He was awesome and probably one of the best servers in Des Moines. Food was good, service was excellent. Can't ask for anything better!

I LOVE this place! Simply one of the best menus in town. Great atmosphere, great people. I get in here and I never want to leave. Full bar and great wine selection as well. Salad bar is not to be missed! I just can't say enough about this place. Been going here since before I was old enough for school. Never once been disappointed.

This place is an institution! You must visit! Our group had fabulous steaks, prepared perfectly. Each meal came with warm bread and unlimited trips to the best salad bar there ever once was! We even had dessert, but I don't know where we found room to eat it because we were stuffed! You will not be disappointed!!

This restaurant is a must if you are in Des Moines Iowa.first the service was wonderful and friendly. the food was absolutely out of this world. the salad bar was fresh and clean. each of our meals were cooked for perfection and just as we ordered it. I really liked the ambience and decor. Our server was attentive and pleasant. The salad bar was great, my prime rib really hit the spot, so good. I ordered medium rare, and I got medium rare. Also, the bread was yummy.. I'll go back, for sure.
