Don't let their run down appearance turn you away! There is a reason this place is always full.One of the best chicken rolls I have ever had! In fact, they could only make it better by adding one or 2 extra things onto it such as a bit of red onion. The chicken is never dry and they don't have huge wait times or prices.They have quite a large menu but I have never had anything bad from here in the last 14 years.They could, however, do with a bit of a revamp as they look a bit run down.
This charcoal chicken shop sets the gold standard for all others. Their perfectly crispy chips and chicken that is always perfectly cooked and seasoned make this place stand out. The chicken rolls and gravy are top-notch, and the roast potatoes are fluffy and golden. The fried chicken is delicious and the schnitzel rolls are huge and tasty. The store may not be fancy, but the service is efficient and the food is fresh, tasty, and affordable. What more could you ask for?
Oh, Pier St Charcoal Chicken is a great place to satisfy your cravings for delicious chicken and chips. They have a good selection and it's one of the most reliable Charcoal Chicken places I've been to in terms of food quality. I've never gotten sick from eating here, and I've even tried some less than fresh items without any problems. But truly, nothing compares to their amazing Charcoal Chicken and Chips - the best I've ever had.
Been coming to this chicken shop since i moved to the area around 6 years ago. The quality of the chicken is great , always cooked well and chicken is never dry. the chips are the best around they are cooked to order. The highlight is the chicken schnitzel roll my husband swears by it, it also great value for money. This has been our weekly treat for take away i don't see myself going else where any time soon. I have a fondness for the classic charcoal chicken at Pier Street. I always found myself here after school for a bag of chips with gravy. Their generous portion sizes are impressive, and I especially enjoy their fresh and crispy chips. They always have great deals on affordable chickens, burgers, and rolls. Long live charcoal!
