I have a horrible palate. I'm the guy who actually prefers his food overcooked and dry. When I eat chicken I want it borderline burnt. I have been asked to leave (or chosen to leave very expensive stake houses 4 times in my life because the chefs refused to cook my steak the way I want it. Point being I am as far from a food critic as you can get, except when it comes to Lentil Soup. I love lentil soup and I have tried them all. These guys have by far one of the best lentil soups I have ever had. I absolutely love this restaurant! It's the best place for bowls in Metro Detroit. If you don't like it, then you must have unusual tastes in food or not know how to properly customize it. Here's how I always order mine - a bowl of white rice with double portions of steak and chicken, cilantro hummus, onions, cucumber, green pepper, double pita chips, feta cheese, and a sauce of tahini and hot sauce. Their bowls are very filling and great for the price. You can choose your rice, steak, chicken or falafel, and so many toppings you can add to the bowl. I couldn't decide on a sauce so they gave me one of each...ranch, garlic and Fattoush dressing. It was amazing and delicious! The staff was very helpful and friendly. You can add a meal for 3.95. I will definitely be back!

The food is fresh and so tasty. I can't wait for the weeks when I am working out of the office because this is always one of my favorite spots to go. The portions are a good size and can either be one or two meals. The price of the portions is well worth the money. We visited Chickpea Kitchen for the first time and were impressed with their build-your-own Mediterranean food bowls. The fresh and delicious food selections made for an excellent casual dining experience. The employees were friendly and helpful, and we definitely plan on returning. This restaurant is a must-try!

Food tasted super fresh and the sauces and seasonings were amazing. Had the fattouch salad with chicken- they load it up with fresh cukes, tomatoes, grilled chicken, and the dressing was so good. There was a constant flow of people getting food- and you didn’t have to wait very long to order. Will be back

Chickpeas is a nice clean, friendly restaurant, located near the corner of 17 mile and Mound across from the Ford plant.

Why did you stop making the fresh cream chop? I am very disappointed, it used to be the best cream chop ever.

The food is tasty, but the bowl sizes are significantly smaller than those at Chipotle and Qdoba.
