Chickpeas - Reserva de mesa

As someone who never had a falafel, admittedly I don't have much to compare how Chickpeas version compares to others.I will say though that I really like the falafel wraps that I've had here and everyone I've brought here for lunch has also liked what they had. Their hummus is also very good and they are the only place that seems to do it the way they do it (their hummus is very, very thick).Prices seem more than fair (about $7 for a falafel wrap which always seems to fill me up,) and you can make it a meal for a few dollars more and they'll add a side dish of hummus plus some pita bread for the hummus.Seating is a bit limited on the inside with maybe 6-8 tables so be warned that during lunc...

Was in Ottawa, checked out Chickpeas after reading a few reviews. I was in for some falafel and wanted to chow down something that would fill me up. The server was excellent at explaining their menu and made an excellent suggestion - Go Roasted Red sandwich, which is wrapped in a pita. I also ordered Turkish coffee.While waiting and knowing it was my first time in the restaurant, the server brought over a sample falafel. I have never - never - had a more delicious and fresh example of what a falafel should taste like. The sandwich that came was no different - absolutely delicious. And it was genuinely nice to have a real Turkish coffee to enjoy. All said, I wish this was a chain ... I'd be h...

I like Lebanese food but I'm not super fond of falafels. This place serves only falafel sandwiches (shawarma style on a pita.) They're amazing. I tried the mango falafel sandwich. It was very tasty, full of flavor and wonderful herbs and spices. It's a small little restaurant about 10 tables and the food takes a little longer than normally expected from a counter style restaurant. What's wonderful is that they make everything fresh on the spot. Will definitely return!

Fresh made falafel and amazing hummus! The falafels are fresh out of the fryer and drizzled with tahini. We ordered plain hummus as well which had an amazing texture and a slightly lemony taste. Both incredibly delicious. I will complain that the pita is your standard super-dry grocery store pita. A fresh, soft pita could make the sandwiches and hummus that much better. However, minor qualm. Thank you, Omar! My dad loved the falafel sandwich and hummus at your restaurant. He said the fattoush was delicious and he really enjoyed the soup, which is saying a lot because he is very picky. I am giving 4 stars because we didn't eat at the restaurant. Personally, I thought the falafel was amazing as always. Thank you for the sample while I waited, the service was quick and efficient!

I met a friend here for a casual lunch and I was very impressed! The bright and modern interior paired well with the delicious and reasonably priced food. I had a falafel platter which came with veggies, pita bread and lots of tahini. For $8 it was a steal. The falafel is the best and freshest I've tasted in Ottawa. I would recommend it to anyone.

Stopped in for a take out lunch and wished I lived in Ottawa to be able to go back often. The falafels and hummus are made fresh daily and were amazing. Service is informative and friendly. Offering nice teas and iced water infused with fresh citrus. Loved it. Reserva una mesa ahora

Absolutely Amazing. This place is a piece of heaven in box store land. Omar has got a heart of gold and makes everything from scratch. The falafels are soooo good. The humus is phenomenal and so unique in flavor. Definitely the new spot here in Ottawa.
