The food at this restaurant, Chicks on Fire (MOST unfortunate name is outstanding. And most unusual. Delicious dips, delicious breads. I had chicken with Thai green curry marinade which was magnificent Thai curry at its best. My companion had her 's without a marinade ' as she doesn 't like spicy food the Thai curry was only very slightly spicy. The food for my companion and me arrived on a large black slate a real work of art! We had 1/4 chicken each (there are numerous other dishes aside from chicken two kinds of spring rolls, the spinach and feta particularly good and also best chips ever! There was also a beautiful (I 'm running out of superlatives! salad to go with the chicken as well as garlic mayonnaise.and a dab of tomato ketchup. The dessert was also beautifully presented two different kinds one a chocolate cake, the other I was not quire sure what it was also a kind of cake. But this was very disappointing after the main course. The restaurant itself is most tastefully decorated and would stand up to the decor of some very expensive restaurants I have been to in the city! The service was helpful and friendly attentive, without being 'in your face '. We also had two cokes and the bill came to a ridiculously reasonable £20 for the two of us!!. This restaurant is a goldmine in the midst of a sea of kebab shops, but it would stand out wherever it was located!!

Although the fun with chicks on fire starts with the name, it follows all the way to the place, the menu, the owner, cook and finally eat. it is all so happy and feel good, they begin to wonder if the place is on drug. what we have here is the simple concept of grilled chicken with different sauces and marinades modified (think they gourmet nando’s,) and after completing my meal it was clear that it was a winning formula. the appetizers were interesting enough (I had never had a hauch of modest before) but the main event was that huh that I actually had a burger (what, was more of a very generous sandwich) and a quarter piece and all were very tasty and very spicy there was no need for additional sauces to cover the taste here. So not much about really perhaps complaining about the bench? I can't give an exact indication of the price, but I think it was all under a tens per head, which is recommended in every book a big one.

Discovered this little place by accident as it hides down a quiet side street off The Holloway road with minimal passing traffic. Slightly surprised it survives in this location but glad it has as it has never let me down on the numerous times I've been. Basically serves grilled chicken in various marinades, but does it very well. Chicken is baked is bags before grilling resulting in moist bird. Sides are excellent and although not a natural salad person I have to say that here the amass are delightful. Staff always engaging and good with our kid. If you can find it, try it it deserves more custom

Chicks on Fire was a great dining experience, it was quite difficult to find but when I did it was worth the search. The staff were extremely welcoming and the chef very entertaining. He served us a variety of dips sweet, sour and spicy, it was really quite unique because you could taste that it was a mix of many different food cultures. I would recommend Chicks on Fire if you live nearby, this is probably one of the best restaurants within a mile radius.

Fantastic chicken with flavoursome sauces. The chicken wings are crispy and juice, the chicken fillets are wonderful and the half a chicken cooked to perfection. The staff are very friendly and polite. We received a couple of pieces of bread with a pepper salsa as a complimentary starter which was a nice start to our meal. Be aware the prices exclude VAT. Will be coming back and would recommend to any one for a pleasant meal.
