TL;DR: This is one of these times when exploring Brisbane 's dining scene that I come to one of its oldest ever restaurants one that is still standing after decades of consistency. Being a bit of a young town in that regards, it pays well to give the old legends their due and try them out. FREQUENT DINER. We dined recently at China Sea.It is one of our regular haunts in the Western Suburbs of Brisbane.The food is great, large servings, fresh non greasy. You might pay a little bit more then some of the cheaper Chinese places but the place is always packed and bookings are essential.The salt pepper prawns and calamari come out in a generous serving in a bamboo boat. Do yourself a favor and make sure you start off with these.We then had the sweet N sour pork, satay chicken, chicken fried rice Szechuan Beef. All of these were delicious with the pork being our favorite dish on the night.
Exceed expectations!My partner and I came here just to try it out since it is nearby. We went with $35 per person menu. There were some deep fried entrees, beef with Bok Choy, crispy skin pork, fried rice and chilli hot pot. I had a weak spot for crispy skin pork and they did it really well here. I would come back here to have my crispy pork. The fried rice was not oily and it tasted delicious. Overall, the food was great here and it gave the bang for the bucks.

The price is up there...but I could order 2 plates of the crispy pork...(and often do and take some home with me!!! I've taken quite large parties there as well and they cater really well. There is always plenty of food, and despite it being Chinese, I don't experience that Chinese food-msg hangover the next day, it's all really well balanced.
A blast from the past with mine host an international chap who has implanted a little piece of Westernised Chinese into Milton. All the old favourites like honey king prawn so big a serve that one cold put to sea in the serving boat. Suspend your disbelief and you could be in any city in the world.
We've been looking for a new Chinese restaurant since our old favourite closed its dining room, and I think we've found it! Really good quality food, great service, busy as expected in a Saturday night. The standouts were the honey chicken and the roasted duck.
What a surprise! We were lucky to book , because the place was fully booked since early evening... we had a very good dinner with chinese food, tempura, noodles, prawns... all excellent. We didn't try any soup, plates were very rich.

I like this restaurant. Good hospitality and great food. Always packed! Very busy. Make sure you book ahead before your visit. Love crackling roast pork.
Best Chinese in Brisbane. Service can be a bit hit and miss, but the food is great.
