I'm an American and have enjoyed Chinese-American food for many decades. Been in south of France the past year and the Asian restaurants .... well, boring and not good, perhaps because the French don't like spicy. But this is the first Chinese place I've really...liked. For France, especially for Ales, fantastic. If I go a couple of times to a Chinese restaurant and like it and feel comfortable I'll order Sweet and Sour Pork. This dish is a good way to judge. If they use cheap or poorly cut pork you get too much fat or gristle and the dish sucks. Here it was wonderful, with with crispy fried pork slices stir-fried in the sauce so this is now my go-to Chinese restaurant. As a plus the owners...

If you are looking for a place in Alès to eat great Asian food in a cute little restaurant (or take away search no more. Authentic Vietnamese and Chinese dishes, cooked and served by a very nice Vietnamese couple who own the restaurant. The nems...we had as starters were really good (usually a great sign for the rest to come). And then we shared some Luk Lak beef, Bun Bo and Caramel Salmon which I can honestly say was one of the best salmon dishes I have ever had. Our vegetarian friend was accommodated by the cook with a tailor made dish of vegetable sauted noodles . Even the deserts and coffee were good! Prices were more than reasonable as well, serving sizes were generous. The ambiance was...

This is a small restaurant, which, fortunately, was not at all full on the night when we visited. It seems that the owner/managers are Vietnamese, and hence the menu reflects this. The food we ordered arrived and was very palatable fresh, colourful, spicey, etc....Nothing exceptional. however. We witnessed several take out orders being prepared, and we observed what another couple (French, regular), ordered and were served. In general, one is left with the impression that the food served in establishments in Ales must be so bad that this clean, presentable, little, Vietnamese restaurant can end up being rated No. in the town!!!

I live near Alès and come here often to shop and try new restaurants. Several friends have recommended Chinatown and today we tried it...and it lived up to its high praise! I had the porc in caramel sauce, and my friends had the chicken curry..both...were excellent, and perfectly cooked. The star, however was the dessert Perle de coco...not sure what is was...some sort of sticky coconut ball served in an out of this world warm coconut cream sauce. It screams Comfort Food, at it’s best! We also had the sugared ginger which was another winner. I will definitely go back. Reserva una mesa ahora

My husband and I took a lovely trip to Alés and stumbled upon this amazing restaurant. The food is absolutely delicious. Full of flavor and life. Perfect place for authentic Vietnamese food and just great food overall. I wish we got photos but we ate...it all so fast. The staff was incredibly professional. We are so happy we stopped by and we’ll dream of this place as we return to the States.

This is my favorite restaurant ever. It is in my situated in my childhood town and every time I visit my family I NEED to go there. Having had Asian food in many places around Europe this small, family run place is THE best. Words...would not do justice. Just go ; The couple behind the scene is very friendly, the service is fast. The food is quality and so so tasty. Hope you enjoy ;

Le meilleur restaurant asiatique dans le Gard. J'adores les plats— c'est si délicieux ! Les propriétaires sonts si sympa! This is the Best Chinese or Asian Restaurant in the whole area— and that is against tough competition, and coming from California I judge by a...high standard. Perfect! Also the owners, hosts are charming, nice people.

Small, neat, clean, comfortable, air conditioned and easily walked past but an absolute treasure if you like Asian food with a Vietnamese bias. Delicious entree’s steamed or fried and crisp tasty salad followed by a generous serve of seared flambéd scallops. Friendly service and good...pricing rounded off a great lunch. First time I have visited since the pandemic started. Same wonderful food and owners. The only thing which has changed is tHat they are doing more carry out business. But since we live out of town we eat in. Great Chinese food, at least for...these Americans.
