EXCELLENT SURF AND TURF. I went with my wife and two kids, and initially, I was a bit hesitant about the menu since it’s a spin-off from the really good fish and chip shop. I wondered how they would handle steak, but it turned out to be fantastic! It was cooked exactly to my liking, served with mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, a large piece of steak, and perfectly cooked prawns with garlic sauce. I've tried numerous surf and turf dishes, and honestly, this was the best I've ever had. My wife ordered the Thai mussels, which looked great, but she mentioned she’d had better elsewhere; however, she felt satisfied with the dish considering the price. I really appreciated the convenience of ordering online in advance. My order was ready exactly when I requested for pickup. The medium portion of chips ($4.50) was enormous! The leftovers from two people are shown in the picture below. They were incredibly crunchy and stayed that way throughout the night as we continued to snack on them. I also highly recommend the battered feta bites; you get 10 generous pieces for just $5! The squid rings were tasty, but the batter on the pineapple rings was a bit too thick for my liking. I didn’t order any fish, so I can’t provide any feedback on that.
I happened upon this restaurant on a Monday and decided to try the Monday special, which was a large serving of snapper and chips for $7.95. The portion was quite generous, the fish was incredibly fresh and crispy, while the chips were just average. I also ordered a few pieces of fish bites for around $6.00, and the portion of those was quite generous as well. The restaurant itself is spacious, and the ambiance is much more pleasant than most fish and chip shops. I really enjoyed my experience here and will definitely make this my go-to place for fish and chips!
