My sister and I were in town for a wedding and the AirB&B we stayed at said Chism 's has the best hamburger in Mississippi! That is not true...We think it 's the best in the Southeast! The food was awesome, and the service was even better. We came back the next day for a plate lunch. Best red beans and rice ever. They would give New Orleans a run for their money! We can 't wait to come back to visit again when we are in the area. A !!
During a day of shopping in Brookhaven, I found myself in need of a meal. According to TripAdvisor, Chism was the best option, and they were right! I've already had their cheeseburger twice, and the 20-mile drive is absolutely worth it for such a delicious burger. My partner enjoys the catfish, but I finally persuaded them to try the burger yesterday, and they agree—it’s fantastic!
Everytime we come home, we have to stop at Chism's Diner. The food is so good it reminds you of home cooking. There is nothing bad on the menu. Everyone should go by and try the food out, I know you will return very soon!!

Great little mom and pop diner. Terrific burgers and onion rings. They have daily plate lunches too. Would love to spot here again when I’m in the area. Very nice staff as well.
