4 stars. I came here with a few friends on a cold day and the soondubu hits different with cold weather. It was the perfect food to eat and it just makes my whole body warm. Chodang had some really good soondubu. The soup was very flavorful and the spice was perfect. They gave some banchan to start and we asked for more like three times because it was very yummy. I do wish they added a little bit more mushroom considering it was a mushroom soup. The mushroom flavor could have been stronger, but the broth was still pretty good nonetheless. Tried this place on a Friday evening. We got in around 9.15 PM and were the only ones there till close. By SoCal standards, this is pretty slow. The service was quick and friendly but the food was mediocre. The spicy chicken was barely marinated, tasted dry and the pieces of chicken were huge. Most chicken pieces were half cooked and appeared stale. The tofu soup tasted bland too. They were nice enough to accommodate our special request to have a shrimp only tofu soup, but we really did not enjoy the food. Hate to be the first one to review the place and leave a negative one, but it is what it is.
I ordered Tripe stew and it?s how it looks. It has all tofu and kimchi inside and tripe. Im really dissapointed because i never had tripe stew with tofu for my entire life plus this soup taste is so bland. Nothing spicy nothing like ???? I paid almost $40for this not tasty soup. I can?t believe it..wasted money
Nice Korean restaurant to enjoy a delicious meal. Got the beef tofu soup, and the flavor was spot on. It was missing an egg, but I suspect it was due to the crisis shortage of the egg at this time. Along with the side dishes, the meal was very satisfying and fulfilling. Highly recommended.Food: 5/5

Server yelled at us when she served a wrong dish and we took a bite by mistake. Poor portion that is obviously smaller than other Korean restaurants I have visited. No to mention long waiting time. Surprised how come the business is still there.
Solid Korean tofu soup restaurant! Flavorful soups with the right amount of spice. All the banchan accompaniment dishes are tasty and they even give you a fried fish with your meal. No complaints and the workers are kind and attentive.
Omg the spicy chicken lunch special here is to die for. I always get it with an extra side of their salad dressing because it combines so good with the chicken, glass noodles, rice, etc. Definitely one of my lunch go-to spots.
The waitress was showing very bad attitude and blaming us loudly after serving the wrong dish, which is absolutely ridiculous. Food portion is noticeably smaller than other Korean restaurants.

This is a cozy yet welcoming restaurant that offers some of the finest Korean cuisine I've ever tasted. Their soups are delightful, and the flavors are truly exceptional.
Had a great experience here ordering their spicy pork with the tofu soup. The spicy pork had some real kick to it and they had fried fish among their appetizers.
