we arrived in this little restaurant by chance. it was 3 o'clock on a Sunday and yet sylvie invited us still charming. we had no idea that it was the Mother's Day and the restaurant was full. a table was found for us and we were...served the most beautiful set menu of regional food with beautiful wine. Unfortunately, they have closed the next 2 weeks for their annual holiday, otherwise we would have returned to this amazing region during our stay. I recommend you to look for this beautiful restaurant with its high quality food and charming service.
This little restaurant has been in the same family for three generations, and it shows! Really lovely food. Both the dishes I chose contained something to which I am allergic and I was accommodated by leaving those items out. The result was no less appealing...to the eye and the palate. Wonderful ris d'agneau with cêpes and in the centre, a poached pear. Neither cheap nor expensive. Qualité prix that is you get what you pay for. The restaurant could have been a little warmer i needed to put my coat back on.... We would go back.
as we continued our journey from pamplona towards France, we went to the village of Saint-Jean-Le-Vieux, where we stayed late by midday, and we stayed in the restaurant « Choco-Ona ». this is a very small but cozy restaurant with a very nice kitchen,...for this our congratulations to the chef of the kitchen. we had a nice eating and are very happy that we can transfer this place. if they are in the neighbourhood, do not hesitate to have their meal there, friendly service and excellent cuisine. it is worth stopping there.
I've been going for years after saint jean le vieux and always make a point to stop here for lunch or dinner. great host, excellent value and the suppers are to die, love this area of the basque country or I should say gods. land, thank you choko and consider it important!

Family lunch for three nice dishes of scallops and rice and confit of duck with puree legume.Nice service easy going and efficient.Great value/quality ratio.We are repeat customers and would recommend you give them a try.

A quality price that is worth the plate!! Very good meal. Pleasant staff. For little ones (2 to 4 years old) you would need a smaller burger but offer a scoop of ice cream instead of the stick .
very good restaurant found by chance by visiting a nice little village on the holiday road. very friendly reception, excellent service excellent kitchen. Really a good discovery.

I stopped here on my bike packing trip and had the best omelette ever! Would definitely come back again.
