I had a pleasant experience at the restaurant, particularly appreciating the spacious open layout and large screens that make it perfect for games or big gatherings. However, I would have preferred mashed or baked potatoes as sides with my steak instead of fries. It was a bit strange that there were no vegetables offered—just a small piece of corn, which is essentially another starch. As for the steak, it had a good flavor, but the cooking consistency was off. When ordering a burger at any restaurant, one expects it to be cooked properly unless otherwise stated on the menu, as I have noticed in other places. Regardless of whether it was a prime rib burger, all burgers should be cooked to the same internal temperature. My wife’s burger was cooked correctly, without any signs of pink or raw meat. For a manager to dismiss my concern by patting me on the back and saying I wouldn't get sick because it was prime rib is frankly disrespectful to customers. We were not offered any discount, complimentary meal, or even a sincere apology. Questions for Chuck's Roadhouse: Was the internal temperature of this or any other burgers checked before being served?...
We had a lovely dining experience overall. The staff was friendly and attentive throughout our visit. We began with the spinach and cheese dip, which was wonderful. I ordered the rib and wing combo; the rib sauce was exceptional, and they were generous with it, both on the ribs and as a side. Unfortunately, the ribs were slightly overcooked. On a positive note, the wings were fantastic—meaty and bursting with flavor. My wife chose the chicken tacos but wished they had used grilled chicken, as she thought they tasted more like chicken fingers. Nonetheless, she enjoyed the sauce and absolutely loved the sweet potato fries. Overall, she was satisfied with her meal.
I have dined at this restaurant before and had a pleasant experience. However, my recent takeout visit was extremely disappointing. My steak was completely burnt and inedible. On a positive note, the lobster was fresh, perfectly cooked, and well-seasoned, but that was the only redeeming factor. Given that the meal cost over $70, I felt like I received only about $20 worth of quality. It's possible that the quality dropped because it was takeout and there was no expectation of a tip, but that’s still not acceptable. The website showcases some amazing photos, but the reality of the meal was quite different. I ordered takeout and chose the chicken tacos along with an upgraded order of onion rings for an additional cost. Unfortunately, what I received were six soggy onion rings. There were a few other items in the order, but considering the small portion sizes for the price (including Chuck's tax) and having tipped in advance, I really don't think I'll be coming back to this restaurant.
The service was satisfactory, but after eating just a quarter of my burger, I mentioned it to the waitress. Unfortunately, we didn't receive any compensation for the problems we encountered. Overall, it wasn't a good experience. The only reason I'm giving this review three stars instead of two, and why I chose to leave a tip for our server, is that she was nice. In retrospect, I probably shouldn't have tipped at all.
The staff were very friendly, and I found the Top Sirloin to be quite delicious. The dessert was outstanding; however, I was a bit disappointed that the menu mentioned toasted almonds, but my dish didn't have any. Overall, it's a fantastic place to enjoy a steak at a decent price.
