Chuck's Roadhouse Grill

This review reflects my latest dining experience. I visited with my family and we all placed our orders. After about 30 minutes, everyone else's meals arrived, but I was informed that mine would be out shortly. After another 15 minutes without my food, the waitress assured me it would be ready in just a minute. Unfortunately, another 10 minutes passed without any sign of it, and by then, my family had already finished eating. The waitress came back and offered me a soup to hold me over until my meal arrived. I accepted and also requested that my meal be packed up as a takeout since it was taking so long. It appears there might be a new chef in the kitchen, as my wings were served cold and the fries were also not hot. They only provided half a bowl of gravy. Furthermore, my wife's burger was rather greasy. Normally, the food here is quite good, but sadly, that wasn't our experience today. The waitress was excellent, but the quality of the food had an impact on her tip, which is really unfortunate. This place usually maintains higher standards.

My wife and I had lunch at the restaurant yesterday, and we were extremely impressed. Our waitress, Sonya, provided exceptional service. She had a bright and cheerful demeanor, was very attentive to our needs, and checked on us multiple times to ensure we were happy. She was also quick to refill our soft drinks. It's been a long time since we've experienced such fantastic service, and I even took a moment to mention it to the manager.

I ordered $140 worth of takeout, which included several surf and turf dinners. Overall, everything was cooked perfectly, except for one of the two baked potatoes, which had a large black spot concealed beneath the cheese. Fortunately, we didn't end up eating that one. The restaurant was satisfactory, and it was the only option available to us late in Wallaceburg. It seems that the other restaurants must be doing quite well if they can afford to close as early as 8 PM, with some even shutting down at 7 PM!

I had an exceptional lunch! The 'hickory au jus' that accompanies the club sandwich is truly outstanding—it really takes center stage! Is it acceptable to sip it? The prices are quite reasonable too! Well done, Chuck!

The food and drinks were incredible, and the service was excellent as well. I will certainly be back for the rib special and the $4 beers. Thank you, Chuck's, for making my dad's birthday so special!
