The town may appear to be fading, but don’t overlook it! You do have to pass by some empty old houses to reach it, but trust me, it’s worth it! I had the best bacon cheeseburger of my life here, and the tater tots were just as amazing! Now, let’s talk about the burger (the ultimate burger). It was a mouthwatering bacon cheeseburger nestled between two perfectly grilled cheese sandwiches! Yes, you heard that right—two grilled cheese sandwiches for the bread. If I lived closer to this place, I would definitely gain a few pounds! Give it a try; you won’t be disappointed!
I stopped by during a road trip and discovered that the restaurant has just reopened as Whine Knot Diner. It still has the adorable Route 66 decor. The food was excellent, although there was a bit of a wait, but since they just reopened, I'm sure they'll work out the timing. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. It's a fantastic choice for a lunch stop along Route 66 or I-40. My dad exclaimed that his onion rings were the best he's ever had! Service: Dine-in Meal type: Lunch.

The owners are kind and hardworking individuals. The food has a comforting, home-cooked feel, and the service is friendly. It outshines any other restaurant in McLean!
We stopped on our way through on vacation and it was really good!!! Sweet staff Homey atmosphere German chocolate cake was homemade..and omg it was delicious
