The sauce bar was a highlight, featuring not only various sauces but also an assortment of small appetizers, snacks, fruits, and other items. Additionally, they charge for the broth and all the different ingredients you choose. We might have ordered a bit too much—while we managed to finish most of it, it was a challenge. I recommend starting with lighter orders since you can always add more if you’re still hungry. It took a little while to get the attention of the waitstaff, but the ingredients arrived quickly. We definitely over-ordered at the beginning, primarily noodles, which expanded and filled us up. At least we didn't have too much leftover meat, as we noticed quite a bit at the tab...

One of the best features of CLHCQ is the variety of broths they offer, allowing you to split the pot in two. We decided on half bone soup and half spicy broth, and both were incredibly flavorful. However, the spicy broth is quite oily, which can make it a bit challenging to enjoy. The menu is à la carte, and there is a wide selection to choose from. Some of our favorites include: - Fish balls with roe - Black tripe - Imitation crab sticks - Angus beef brisket - Pork belly - Crispy pork (similar to popcorn chicken but with pork) - Tapioca pasta - Beef tendon meatballs ...and so much more! What truly sets CLHCQ apart is their sauce and salad/snack bar. The sauce bar offers a range of differe...

A very unique hot pot experience! The restaurant is meticulously designed with so much intricate details from the bamboo painted booths to the old school lanterns and fruits strung over head. You order on a paper menu and check off what you want, from the soup base, to the meat, tofu, and veg. What's super cool is that they have an amazing sauce bar with everything you could dream of as well as a snack area with peanuts, shrimp chips, yummy vinegar marinaded vegetables and much more... for free. I love the chilled bean sprouts with the spicy Shabu meats. Definitely recommend ordering the bell roll, it's like a fried tofu skin that you quickly dip in the soup for 3 seconds! For vegetables I l...

Five years ago, I was introduced to spicy hotpot, and I couldn't handle it. However, after training myself to enjoy spice, I've found that non-spicy hotpot now tastes incredibly bland! This restaurant is, by far, the best Chinese hotpot I've ever tried in all of LA! We chose the medium spice level, which was quite a kick for me, but I loved the experience nonetheless. One of the highlights was being able to pick the type of oil for the broth. They offer a wide variety of meats (I highly recommend the goat!) and vegetables. Like most Chinese hotpot places, there's also a self-service counter for sauces. The portion sizes are generous, which makes the pricing reasonable, in my opinion. The cus... Reserva una mesa ahora

If you like hot pot, then you DEFINITELY have to check this place out. This place is like Hai Ding Lao, but more aesthetic, affordable, more sauce options, and sides included. The broth I got was the bone soup/half&half (left), spicy (right) which tasted almost the same as Hai Ding Lao with few minor differences. Meat was pretty good, and their noodles were just as tasty too. They have a bunch of snacks you can get, as well as different sauces. They have really unique sauces here, better than Hai Ding Lao. It was also a nice gesture that they offered complimentary sides. I do wish that the snacks, sauces, and sides were not out in the open for people to get but instead delivered at your tabl...

I've eaten here nearly 20 times before I realized that gratuity is always included in the bill. The receipt can be a bit confusing, and the staff usually doesn’t mention it. After this experience, I won’t be returning, as I feel they didn’t treat me fairly. There's another hotpot restaurant on San Gabriel Blvd that tastes just as good.

This is the most authentic Chongqing hotpot I have ever tasted in the Los Angeles area! The prices are reasonable and the service is excellent. As a native of Chongqing, I highly recommend it!

There are numerous options on the menu. The soup base is flavorful but quite spicy. The dessert bar is also delightful. I'll definitely be returning! Reserva una mesa ahora

The worst hot pot I ever had. The sesame oil is incredibly bad. I can't believe this business is still alive.
