Churrasqueira De Belem

Came with non vegans so was good that I could still eat and not just sit there; albeit with very few options. I had the savoury empada vegetariana de tempeh. Quite small basically bits of tempeh and veg like carrot mushed up and seasoned very mildly; there was no black pepper or spice at all. This was good for me; but I think others would find it too plain and not flavoursome enough. The dough was a little dry and dense too. However at €2.05, as I said; it does the job if you’re coming with other people who want to pasteis de nata.

O prato do dia estava saboroso. Lamento não ter ficado no piso de cima pois é mais sossegado e que o que tinha escrito nas observações do The Fork não tenha sido rececionado no restaurante e como tal não estarem a contar com mais um lugar na mesa para uma cadeira de bebé. Felizmente resolveram a situação.

When I went there there was literally no food option for vegans. It seems that now they have one or two but definitely not a pastel de belem which is a pity because it's their specialty. On top, there's always a huge line of mainly tourists...

Good choice of food and extensive choice in wine. Service was excellent. We really enjoyed the codfish and burger. The tomato salad starter we shared with the codfish starter and it enhanced both dishes. Reserva una mesa ahora

Não estava explícito no cardápio que a empanada de tempeh era vegana, tive que perguntar ao garçom que confirmou. Era uma opção boa, mas nada demais.

A cosy little restaurant with good food at reasonable prices. A warm welcome from attentive staff and efficient service. Great location!

Asked the waiter vegan options, they told me they only had the veggie tempeh empanada! It was delicious though! Cute little cafe!
