What a delightful surprise, fresh and fragrant food, specials to entice and you don't walk away feeling unsatisfied. We tried the special prawn entree on Sat night, what a delish dish, with beautiful flavours we licked the bowl! Two of us had the barramundi and it was delicate, cooked right, again w lovely morsels on the plate to enhance the dish. We added a side dish of green beans and again, we nearly licked the plates. Our friends had the spanner chilli crab and the goat, which they also said was excellent, though she found the chilli a little too warm. We felt like we were dining in a fine restaurant w the excellent service, and a cosy setting and dim lighting. We were surprised and cons...

This restaurant runs the risk of becoming our new favourite place to eat. With so many good restaurants in and around the City of Melbourne, to stand out amongst the crowd requires that little extra something. Sure, at Ciao-Ciello the food is fantastic, the service excellent and the whole experience worthy of repeating again, but the big stand out to us was the dedication to consistent quality, and the feeling that Kate and Brian wanted to share with you their passion for food and wine, not merely serve you a meal. The menu appears a little limited but still manages to provide a good choice of variety, and the food was cooked and presented to perfection. From our experience, we would rather...

In Melbourne mid week on business and only around the corner in Port Melbourne, my local based business colleague suggested we call in here for lunch as he's a regular. And what a gem of a place this is, in this very European looking warm inviting space, attentively attended to by gracious waiter, Christian. For entrees, I had the grilled Mooloolaba king prawns from the specials, and my colleague had the mushroom ravioli. My prawns were delicious and opposite me the ravioli was equally polished off. He had a slow roasted goat dish for mains which he said was fantastic and I had the spaghetti bolognaise, also very good. All enjoyed with a nice bottle of Italian red.A very nice lunch in a very...

First visit to this small cosy restaurant. Accent of timber, mirrors, wine bottles in a stylish trattoria style. Table of four each greatly enjoyed their meals. Duck aranchini best KAY has ever had. Seared scallops were perfectly cooked and garnished. Mains enjoyed were venison ravioli as an entree...jut amazing. Wagyu eye fillet was absolutely superb....a perfect cut and so tasty. Dessert topped off a perfect meal with a black fig dish of fig and raspberry with gelati....just beautiful. A caramel plate with honeycomb and banana was excellent. Reserva una mesa ahora

4 of us had dinner, sharing 2 dishes of the entree special, king prawns, followed by spanner crab spaghetti, Sicilian style roast goat's leg, and 2 had barramundi, and we shared a green beans side order. All was delicious. The wine list was extensive but lacked any cheaper offerings, so there was no bottle of wine under $48. Main courses were generally $32 to $38 on average, entree at $18. Service was very good, attentive, and friendly.

Delicious dinner, amazing service, romantic atmosphere - what else do you need? I would recommend slow cooked lamb, truffle dauphine potatoes, barramundi and tiramisu. Beautiful little Italian restaurant!

This is an upmarket Italian restaurant with great service and good quality food. I had the duck aranchini and the barramundi. Both were very satisfying.
