A guy from work brings in the ham cheese croissants... THEY ARE AMAZING! Light and flaky, absolutely delicious! I was disappointed when I worked with Mike, who failed to bring them in one day because he said the dough wasn't acting as expected whoever bakes them scratched the whole batch. While I was disappointed, I was equally impressed because they obviously care about quality. City Donuts, I'd give you 10 stars if I could.
This is a classic donut shop that seems to have been designed in the '90s, giving it a nostalgic vibe. The decor features warm light brown tones. What sets this place apart is its more diverse selection of donuts compared to your average shop. The staff are very friendly as well. While it may not have anything extraordinary to offer, I can't say anything negative about it. I’d definitely recommend checking it out!
I don't want to come across as harsh, but the donuts I tried were mostly light and enjoyable. However, I was disappointed that they didn't have chocolate bars, maple bars, or twist bars. When I asked what I thought was the owner about it, she was quite rude. To top it off, I paid $25 for a dozen round donuts and a cinnamon donut, which felt very overpriced. Overall, it was a frustrating experience.
This was my first visit, and I have to say the donuts were fantastic! The two I tried were absolutely perfect. However, I’m giving it four stars because the coffee creamer is just left sitting on the counter, and it’s the kind that really should be kept refrigerated. Best donuts in town! I accidentally discovered this jewel a few years ago. I had donuts from many different donut shops and this is the best so far. The lady always pushes the Donuts holes and u fall for them every time. Beautiful moist and fresh donuts!
I couldn't resist picking up their incredible donuts for my family while I was visiting my grandson in West Sacramento. I'm well aware of the remarkable reputation this business has built.
Wow! First time visit. We will recommend to everyone. This is the place to enjoy savory and sweet treats when in Sacramento. Would give more stars if allowed. Great stop.
