We are regulars at City Perks. The coffee, food, and desserts are first rate. The area is small and cozy. However, very disappointed when staff allow a table for four or the six-seater sofa area to be taken by one person using a laptop and “working” and maybe had one coffee hours before; or two friends sitting side by side using two tables with their laptops. There are days when over half of the tables are used by laptops, sitting for extended periods to “get away from the home office”. Case in point, we had visitors and decided to have a late lunch and the best coffee in Saskatoon. It was laptop day and no seating again. Earls received our business, a monetary loss to City Perks. Ok neighbourhood cafe. Coffees great and food is pretty good but also overpriced. Not "amazing" place, but I guess it's "amazing" in Saskatoon. All in all it has a nice vibe and I go pretty often. The managers not so friendly. Not sure why. My wife goes to this cafe often and she's complained about the counter service. I've found the counter service lacking also, though I have seen the staff friendly and chatty with other regulars, just not us. Which is odd because we are there a lot. Will keep going back as it's close to our place. Hope the staff and manager get a bit more friendly as great service really makes a a neighbourhood cafe feel like it's "yours".

There have been numerous times I've met friends at City Perks. It is located in a quaint part of Saskatoon. Somehow, after their renovation it is less desirable for me. It feels more like cafeteria style service, and less "homey". The coffee is okay, and their baking is homemade and fresh. The service is friendly. Somehow, for me, something has been missed in their renovation - I believe it was the character that has been sacrificed for efficiency. My favourite part of their location, SOVA Designs - a fabulous European style milliner is right next door!

City Perks is a delightful cafe. I'd recommend it to any fan of restaurants with cute decor, chalkboard art and a curated menu. I ordered the ham, pear and brie sandwich and a Gunpowder tea. Although I've had many versions of the brie and ham sandwich, I thoroughly enjoyed this one. The side salad was delicious as well and the tea was brewed perfectly. City Perks also has a stellar selection of pastries and other desserts - I had a pear crumble that I know I'll be craving for weeks. This is a cafe that I am sure I will visit again soon. While waiting for my boss for an editorial meeting (we always seem to select City Perks as our meeting spot), I decided on a quick late lunch. The sundried tomato and artichoke quiche was only $5. That and a great cup of coffee, what a treat! The wedge was tasty and very large. Almost went for the desserts, which always look fabulous, but will hold off until next visit!

We spent an hour on the patio munching on a light lunch. City Perks is good for that in the late spring and summer. The food offering seemed slimmer than usual (there were only two or three items to eat on the chalkboard), but there is always a good variety of things to drink. Despite that, we can always find vegetarian food there. A relaxing choice.

The baking at City Perks has really gone downhill. The scones and muffins are nearly inedible. However, I like that they have non-dairy options for coffee beverages - although the lattes and cappuccinos could be served a bit hotter.

They have some interesting choices for different foods. The goat cheese scone was great. The deck has lots of shade trees so even on a hot day one can find a shady spot. Reserva una mesa ahora

Great! I wish they would make more..They are always out by supper time..if I don't come there by lunch, it's hard to get a great muffin as they sell out..
