I have been to CitySen Lounge in the past, and it has certainly taken a turn for the worse since my last visit. The lounge area is in deperate need of a remodel. There were rips in cushions and the lighting makes you feel like you are eating in a cafeteria. I ordered one of their specialty cocktails, which I know how to make at home, and what came out had been pulverized and tasted nothing like it should. They were kind enough to remove the charge from my bill. The beet salad was mediocre at best, however, we did enjoy the flatbread. This place just seems worn out and tired.
we arrived and the lounge was closed. we had our reservation on ot from another restaurant to this, due to the location, and did not end eating everywhere dinner. Apparently they close at 15 o'clock on Sunday. I felt terrible for the young man who works because he was terrible embarrassing and he tried to help us eat somewhere else, and finally after walking in the city in terrible weather and at waiting times of 45-60 minutes to other places, but it was very stressful, especially because we had considerable time constraints.
We came here with plans to eat before we went to a concert at Van andel. Only two people worked and they stayed behind the bar and chat the majority of our time there. We ordered an appetizer (baked feta, which was not good and waited for 45 minutes. We never got our food before it was time for us to go and go to the concert. Left hungry and unhappy. The two young men who worked had no idea what they did. I rarely write bad reviews, but we would never go back here. Ruined part of our special night with our daughter!
Wouldn't recommend. We were the only people there and nobody welcomed us 15 minutes. Ordered bruschetta and hummus- 30 minutes later they brought them out, but they used white bread toast as a substitute for the “artisan” naan and baguette bread because it ran out of them. I'm just fat. They never consulted us to change to choose something else and offered no discount or nothing. Saw there another 45 minutes before they came back and we could get our bill.

it has a reservation for 8 people per week in advance. they had neither one table nor were they aware. they didn't try to join us. bar manager just said open table is not good for reservations. our entire group said we have nothing but great experience with open table. we had to make room for our group by asking the guests to change places our server russ was great! he was her only saving gnade, but will not be back, that was not the first bad experience.
I've always enjoyed the city and still do. that was not the best experience. eating was great as usual, but the service was slow. Beyond that, the espresso machine was down (and was apparently for some time because of the cost of repair) so I did not get in the position to get the cocktail I wanted.
They have a generous Happy Hour that includes beer, wine, well drinks, and food. Our server was friendly, but they appeared to be understaffed. Thankfully we weren't in a hurry--so it didn't bother us too much. This is a nice place to go with a group of friends. Get the truffle fries!
all our food was great! we have the kartoffel skins for a starter, I ate the portland burger, my friend got the chicken dablo with truffle friries and our friend got a chicken pita with fries. everything was delicious! their truffles were great! we would eat here definitiw again!

Our entertaining stay at City Flats Hotel was spotted by the terrible food we ordered for room service. Both dishes were hardly warm to get really cold. The Margarita Flatbread looked out and tasted like a lunchable.
Service was top notch and the drinks were a pleasure, suitable for a hotel.
